surprised nobody put this up yet, but...wow...

people can rag about the fact that its a sequel, but you know what? effort was put in to this to make it different from the first, but still, the same aswell, aka, its WORTH the money for the new game. Scavenger mode is hard as a bitch, survivor is still hard, and ive yet to try realism, but Iknow if you die somewhere along the ride, thats it for you.

now, if anyone needs any proof to how this rocks as a sequel to the first, heres my proof.....The Midnight Riders Concert Finale to Dark Carnival.

This game is great, and all boycotters can go to hell. You can see they added a lot to justify this a s a sequel, though it would kind of cool if you could say play as the other survivors from the last game at least online maybe as DLC?

I've just played the demo, but I must say it terrified me much more than the original game (I'm absolutely awful at zombie games but I love playing them) :zombie:
The expansion on the Z varieties really adds to the tension, I think, and they work well with the game's environment.
I also love the choice of survivors this time around. Rochelle seems like a much stronger female character than Zoey and god help me I love listening to Ellis scream for help with his Southern twang :X3:

Us Canucks don't have Black Friday. Instead we get Boxing Day so it means I need to wait a month and a bit to be able to afford it. Got MW2 and AC2 (for some reason over Left4Dead) so I'll have enough gaming to do before then.

It's so weird. This must be one of the most hated releases in gaming history. How can people be upset about a game being released? It's like Valve fans are spoiled kids or something. Every game they have released have been supported for such a long time with free content that the fans have started taking it for granted.

Anyway. Really looking forward to playing this game. Won't get a chance until next week though.

It kinda pisses me off that I've seen the same people get overly pissed off at this game yet bust a nut for odst, a game that was originally gonna be dlc.

Great game, and really blows Left 4 Dead 1 out of the water. If you wanted more panic and chaos in your Left 4 Dead, you're gonna love this game.

There is just an amazing atmosphere in this game, I mean "Heavy Rain" is probably the biggest hitter in the category. Whenever you are walking through a hurricane, the A.I. Director throws out a thunderstorm into the mix and muffles your mic and makes it hard to hear and see. Which can lead to absolute insanity in the middle of a horde!

But why the hell is everyone complaining about Dead Center? And by complain I mean they think it's the most shoddiest of the maps. I love Dead Center! The Hotel and the Mall have some really good level design and plenty of hectic moments.

I can't believe I didn't recognize that being Clutch.

Is it just me...or does the AI for the survivors in this game seem...more stupid?

Yeah, when I played it with a friend and two AI partners they often would do dumb stuff like stand in spitter acid, somehow get left behind despite us not speeding through the level, stand near witches in the Sugar Mill, etc etc. It can be frustrating at times especially since the zombie AI is smarter in this one. Still, I noticed that they scale things down depending on the amount of human players. It's easy to get swamped by zombies when four players are playing normal and advanced, but when it's just two players it's a breeze, and that's with the two AI survivors dead in a ditch somewhere.

Also, are all the melee weapons the same, killing zombies-wise (besides the chainsaw)? They feel like it.

Yeah, they are kind of dumb, but at least it's not a point where it's impossible.

Well first off, the bots are beyond mentally challenged. They are even worse than Left 4 Dead's A.I. You should avoid playing with one at all cost. Seriously...

And the melee weapons have different functions in spread and damage. Example: The baseball bat does slightly less damage than the Katana, has a large sweep, but is a tad bit slower. And the Katana is the exact opposite. Fast, less sweep, and does more damage.

All melee weapons have an adjustment in a category, like how the axe has more range than other melee weapons and does more damage, and how the night stick does the least amount of damage, but stuns enemies for a short while.

Oh and one more thing.

http://midnight-riders.com/

Don't you just love how much love Valve shows to even the littlest things in a game?

And for Ellis and Jimmy Gibbs Jr. Fans
Spoiler
He's dead. Well a zombie at least.
