It really is an acquired taste it took me a while before I started to like it but now I do.

Like i love Hardcore, tough guy jugga jugga hardcore, and i love hardcore punk, and i love metalcore... but grindcore just sounds annoying to me... idk... im sure ill end up at a show and love it...

Try listening to Napalm Death. It's a nice transition into it, considering they are the first grindcore band.

I would look for Grindcore thats pure grindcore because thats more punk sounding then death metal sounding. Bands like Nasum, Gridlink, Maruta, Terrorizer, Old napalm death (only the first 2 albums), Repulsion. Also Pig destroyer may have some death metal influences but they are also a good place to start to try to get into grindcore.

I'm actually one of the only people I know of that prefers Ride the Lightning to Master. I love them both though.

Jesus, am i the ONLY ONE WHO LIKES THE ALBUM.

I hate how EVERYONE gets on my ass because I mention St. Anger as a favorite. It's a god damn good album, it's great. Frantic is easily the best track form the album.

I still have a hard time between Lightning and Puppets.

Either way, Cliff's music will live on :innocent:

Saint Anger was ok the thing was its nothing like any thing else they have done. It is an atrocity when it comes to production side of the album meaning there sounds like there was none. And the albums has none of their signature sound and every song is too long and thats not because I can't listen to 7-9 min songs its because the way they were structured it makes the songs drag on to long.

BEST Machine Head album! You got the special edition with the cover of Master Of The Puppets? Apart from vocals it sounds identical!
