What is G.E.A.R. ?

Folks who visit ScrewAttack and HealingTouch might be familiar with the group 'G.E.A.R.' which, if I remember correctly stands for "Graphics Editing and Artistic Refinement'. or something along those lines... Dj Axis came up with the original name. Anywho, what we more or less do, is make shit look pretty.

We design signatures for folks who can't, we help folks who need help learning a graphics editing program. We are NOT a hand drawn art group, we focus primarily on graphics editing programs on the computer, usually of the non-animation kind (I don't think we plan on doing Flash projects or anything.) We provide tutorials, render assistance, and all other kinds of swell stuff. From resizing an image to teaching you how to make a crazy amazing piece of graphic art, we're here to do it all!

I may have forgot some folks, but these are the most active members I can think of off the top of my head. Freedom and Zombie Attack are relatively ninjas who have vanished though. If there were/are members that are active and I forgot them, please don't take it personally. ^_^

As you can tell, we're currently recruiting members to assist on The Game Heroes. You'd be helping out your fellow forum members and showing off you skills. If you wish to apply, please respond to this thread with an example or two of your work, we do NOT turn folks away, as long as you are interested in learning and helping, you're more than welcome amongst our ranks.

As long as you got the programs you can definitely start learning.

Feel free to get some freeware demo versions off Adobe's website.

I don't have a bunch of time on my hands at the moment and doing stuff in photoshop takes me forever. Why do you think I always missed those SotW deadlines?
If it's nothing too complicated I could help out, though.

Apparently, (according to MK07) I was a member of G.E.A.R. on SA ... just no one told me.
