Yeah he's really caught my attention the last 5 years or so, he's made some amazing saves that made me do this :-o .

Wooooh pre-season!!

I hear the Wild are trying to get into some serious contract talks with Gaborik. He's amazing, but I have a feeling he's going to ask for a lot.

Yeah I hope they give him what he wants, he really is the face of the team, the team can always be built around his talent. They are in training camp in Grand Forks right now I believe.

I'm just going to say it...I'm a die hard wings fan, and we're going all the way again this year now that we have Hossa and now that Hasek retired (he was a detriment to the team, Osgood is way better).

I know I would probably hate them too if I weren't from Detroit, but whatever.

And if we do win, hopefully we do it in Detroit this year. I had tickets to every playoff game but the ones in Pittsburg.

The Wild seem to have a good start in the pre-season, I can't wait till season opener vs Boston. Finally hockey is back, all I've had to watch is the Vikings blowing their season from game one.

I'm pumped for the Sens vs. Wings game Saturday. It will be a great game which I will be watching in HD and drinking many beers!

Crosby every time he touched the puck! Heatly, 2 PP goals, punched Orpik in the face for the cheap after-the buzzer hit he had on Alfie and a HUGE blocked shot. He's really getting into Hartsburg's philosophy and proving he deserves the A. Gerber played like shit game 1, Alud, while looking lost a few times yesterday stood tall (figuratively and literally being 6'5). Never knew how big of a man he is. Auld should start Saturday for his effort in the almost shutout (Pens scored with like 1.5 seconds left in the 3rd).

Anyways, can't wait to watch the Sens-Wings game Saturday! It's always a dandy game when these two teams play each other.

It was pretty bad ass seeing someone from my hometown (Goligoski) playing in my favorite team besides the Wild (Penguins), I used to play with him on the out door rinks when he was like 14-15 years old. Also pretty anxious to see how Wagner and White do in St Louis and Vancouver respectively.

Do any of you guys watch college hockey?

I'm thinking SCSU Huskies are going to play absolutely awesome this year, if not I'm sure the UMD Bulldogs will rock as usual.

We don't get college hockey here in Canada, but we have our fill with the CHL (btw GO RANGERS AND 67s!!)

Anyone catch the Leafs vs Wings game last night? Man, I never would have called that score!

hells yeah that was a kickass upset for me. Im a Leafs fan, and wasnt expecting anything major from the leafs this year, since a rebuilding time.

but to see them beat the wings, with a bunch of noobs, in their own arena, after the wings won the cup last year, I dunno...it felt like, a good glint of hope for the season to come.

Reason for winning: Tuskola stood on his head! The Leafs will have great goaltending (although I still can't believe you guys picked up Cujo, especially because you guys still have Pogge who I think would be a much better backup), but don't hope for much of anything else this season. You'll win a few surprising games, but some of the TO headlines today just made me laugh!

The Wild open up their season tomorrow against Boston, I'm so freakin' stoked! I think I'm going to pee. <_<

As far as my college hockey ?, I know a bunch of the college guys that that have gone on to the NHL, there's at least a handful in the last few years that are playing the NHL or are signed to a team pending their college time.

Patrick Kane (Canucks)
Alex Goligoski (Penguins)
Steve Wagner (Blues)
Kyle Okposo (Islanders)
Joe Stejskal (Canadiens)

6-1 montreal vs. toronto. ouch, you really saw the inexperience pour from Toronto's side after the first 10 minutes of the game.

Dany Heatly and Jesse Winchester were both in the college system too.

Ya, TO got spanked... and blew a 3-0 lead to lose 5-4 in the SO yesterday....yikes!

Sens freakin blew it with 77 seconds left against the Wings... ugh... Gerber strikes again. I'm really worried with him in net. He flip-flops a hell of a lot! Dammit I hate you John Muckler! We could have had Nabokov or Tuskola but noooooooooooooo!

Well we beat Tampa Bay, Buffalo and Columbus shouldn't be a problem for us, but we'll see.

I am pretty bummed St. Cloud State got swept by the Gopher this weekend, but Saturdays game was played better than Fridays game did. But the UMD Bulldogs are 4-0-1, so I can be stoked a little for college hockey, since I moved back up on the Iron Range I can watch more Bulldogs games.
