Uhhh..Silva just destroyed Keith Jardine in 36 seconds(highlight reel knockout) and The Pitbull signed with Affliction, just destroyed Ben Rothwell looking like his old self again, and is next in line to take on Fedor...who happened to choke out Big Tim in just 36 seconds(highlight reel submission). Damn that's eerie...

My bad eh, I get behind every so often, I stop paying attention when the guys I like aren't fighting. And look what happens, I come post in a forum, absolutely clueless. :-D

Elite XC was really entertaining last night. I missed the Heavyweights but nearly every other fight was good. As for Fedor, who's next?

Andrei Arlovski.

As much as I would have liked to see Fedor v. Randy, it's become such a joke that I don't care what the hell Randy does the rest of his career. AA looked like his old self again, and at this point, I'd rather see AA vs. Fedor then Randy.

Yeah I think it's either AA or Barnett maybe. After that Couture shouldn't be too far behind.

At this point, I'm sick of Randy's shit. By the time he actually gets around to fighting Fedor, he'll be too old. If he wins, it'll be an inspiring story, but if he loses, it'll be excusable because he'll be so old.

Honestly, Randy used to be my hero. He fought to fight. But the way he handled the UFC contract issue made me realize all he is is an older version of Tito. Goes for a hot slut, and she turns him in to a money grubbing dipshit.

Give me Anderson Silva. There's a dude who fights for the fight. Doesn't fucking matter who/when/where and at what weight, he'll take it.

My actual choice would be Wanderlei Silva to go against Fedor, Wandy is the shit.

Absolutely LOVE Wandy but he went against Crocop and Crocop manhandled him like he was a toy. And of course we all know that Fedor put away Crocop without much trouble at all. I don't believe fights between fighters are transitive but I feel this one is.

Oh man, I missed that fight, Wandy did indeed get man handled. He's kind of hit and miss lately it seems, sometimes he's on his game and sometimes not.

Yeah, the second I heard Wandy wanted to move up to fight Crocop I was stunned. It's like he not only moved up in weight but he moved up and fought one of the baddest heavyweights at the time. I was thinking maybe fight a scrub or two first but no, it's like I moved up, give me the baddest russian who's not named Fedor, out there.

Wandy is still the rabid dog in my eyes, but he's been tamed a little from his Pride days. I mean this is the guy that put away Quinton twice, with ease. So that Liddell fight wasn't the real Wand, otherwise he would've eaten him up.

I've heard alot of rumors that Wandy was juicin' while he was in Pride. It would explain why he has lost a little ferociousness in UFC, but I don't think he was beefin' on roids the whole time. Wandy is still an animal though.

Wandy didn't move up in weight to fight Mirko, it was an open weight tournament. Wandy replaced Fedor because Fedor had a busted up hand. Since Wandy was also a champ at the time (Lower weight class), he got a first round bye, fought Fujita(heavyweight) and demolished him. Then he ended up against Mirko in the semis and the rest is LHK highlight reel histroy. Mirko then went on to win by accidental eye poke against Josh Barnett.

Still, the fact that Wandy stepped in to replace Fedor in an open weight tournament speaks to his spirit. Yeah, it was open weight, but generally that means the really big fuckers. Silva is big, but not that big.

There was that rumor with a lot of PRIDE guys. I can believe it could happen, but I don't think it was rampant. UFC guys are getting busted too. I think what some of the loss of ferociousness is due to are the rule changes between Japan and the US. It's different when you can't knee a downed opponent or soccer kick them in the face. Doesn't matter who you are, you look mean when you soccer kick a dude. Now he has to rely more on punching and grappling rather then knees and kicking. The UFC has rules that give the advantage to grappler's. It's not intentional, it's just how it is. A striker can land a near KO punch and if the opponent weathers and takes the guy down 6 times the rest of the round but does no damage, the take downs will cost the striker the round, even though he did more damage.

The cage doesn't help matters either, but I still prefer it to a ring.

In other news, Irvin got busted for using Methadone and Oxymorphone before the Silva fight. I guess he knew in advance how badly he was going to get beaten on by The Spider.

And in our last story, Quinton "Rampage" Jackson went insane because he thought he was god.

How bad is the Rampage incident going to hurt MMA or I should say UFC? It's definately not good for the sport anyway.

I don't know man, I've just started hearing rumors that Rampage might come back as early as November. I'm starting to think that this could actually have a pretty positive spin. Think about it, this put a spotlight on the fact that some of these guys have had to deal with rapid rise and meteoric fall. Sometimes that could push someone over the edge if they don't have the right support around them when it happens. Rampage went batshit, but it ended without violence and nobody got hurt. So as flipped as he was, he still was able to recognize right and wrong.

Dana can put a spin on how they are putting together a support system for shit just such as this. They already seminar new guys coming in, but now they can just extend that program. Not only will UFC do this, but Affliction, EliteXC, and by association the WEC. He could just repeat the whole "we're still growing" line and use this as a "growing pain." Besides, it's not like boxers have never gone insane after going from the penthouse to the outhouse in the blink of an eye.

Need an example? See Mike Tyson.

What's funny, is I was worried about the same thing at first. How it was just going to bring up the old "street thugs" crap. But I'm starting to think Dana is gonna spin this right.

Excuse while I go write Dana White with my idea. :-D

Oh, and before I forget, that November rumor that's started? It's against Wanderlei Silva.

I had not heard that rumor, that would be a hell of a fight. I have no doubt that UFC will be fine through all of this, this kind of stuff just ends up being a speed bump and always seems to happen when the sport starts getting recognized.

Well, all that stuff I said, I take it all back.

The driver of one of the vehicles Rampage hit just suffered a miscarriage. He's hosed.

Yeah, Rampage is f'd. It's bad too, he's a hell of an entertainer, his interviews are great and the howl is pretty bad ass.

Is that what it was? I completely forgot. I remember Fedors hand and him withdrawing.

Yep. Either way, if he wanted to fight the big boys or if he was willing to step in against them, he's a bad ass for it. I have the DVD of the semi-finals and finals of the tournament. It really is a highlight reel knockout. Too bad the final was kind of a let down.

Yeah. This should be an interesting legal argument. The woman was 38, so she was in high risk territory anyways. I'm thinking there will be no criminal charges for this, but there will be a civil suit. 10 to 1 says the civil suit is settled out of court with the terms being kept secret.
