Once again, another poll about what you want us to do/change and these will hopefully go into effect before the end of the month. You can vote for multiple things, and each option is relatively self explanatory.

lol no the male/female is just so the guys know which ones to actully hit on, so they don't accidently hit on a guy. But there are some gamer chicks. I'm not much of one but its always funny to see guys reactions.

I like the sound of the game tho, guessing the pics. Sounds cool

I think a Forum Game's Sub-Forum would be a great idea. It also is practical seeing as there is a different type of "Guess the ___ by The ScreenShot" in every single main sub-forum already.

Broad subforums tend to be more active than those with a more limited focus.

I find that 75% of the topics seem to be PC gaming related but there are always a couple people who want to talk about Apple or Linux or are interested in hardware and software topics that aren't related to gaming. And there is the ever popular "how do I ......" or "what computer should I get?"

I don't really see the "Popular Mechanics" crowd here on the forums and there are only so many topics that could be made about autos and ipods, so a seperate Tech subforum doesn't really seem needed.

I'm actually rather apathetic on all of these suggestions, but I wouldn't mind a male/female symbol (I mean, I suggested it <.< ), a podcast question subforum and possibly the add friend or foe button. If you put that in I might actually use the feature. Forum games, though, I don't think need their own subforum. But I don't really mind if it's added for the greater good.

A link back to the main site would be good IMO but what I'd really like to see is all of the forum-games in one separate forum; makes it a bit more organized.

Gender/Age... I don't really care and don't see the point of adding it. Just gives people fuel for predjudice (i.e. "You're just 15; you don't know what you're talking about!") at worst and knowledge that could be gleaned from a simple PM at best.
In short: I find it redundant.

I don't think the sex/age profile thing is necessary, nor is a male/female symbol because I feel that it doesn't really matter and that sort of info can be shared by whoever wants to easily.

I think a seperate technolgoy subforum would be a nice idea. I think it would be good if people who didn't understand a certain technology or needed advice could go here so their questions can be answered. I've seen some on other forums and they worked really well!

Also the subform for forum games would be a nice idea so they don't clog up the rest of the forums!

I think we're in desperate need of a sub-forum for podcast questions. It would get rid of a lot of clutter... It may also be wise to only let admins or whatever start topics in there - as this place grows we may end up with duplicate question threads.

The male/female thing may or may not be added, depending on coding conflicts with the multi-rank theme mod.

Honestly, what for? There are about five woman here, and that's including Jordan and Liz. I doubt that number will rise significantly any time soon. I think the effort simply outweighs the gain at this point.
