I actually really enjoyed Black Ops. The weird thing is that my favorite part of it happened to be the single player campaign. It was only 5 hours or so, but god damn they really know how to really make exciting and action packed single player campaigns, not to mention the story with Mason in the interrogation room with all of the monitors and the numbers was actually very intriguing to me. I also really liked the real world history that was tied to it (even if they took some creative liberties of their own). I have absolutely no problem with them making a sequel.

I don't own a copy of Black Ops but I would really like to. I'm hoping that they will announce a Game of the Year type version of the game that comes with all of the DLC, instead of having to buy it all separate..... Man I hate DLC. Seriously...

Well I've heard that a Game of the Year Edition probably isn't going to happen for Black Ops but a man can dream right?

I got one piece of Black Ops DLC and regretted it. You don't need the DLC to enjoy the game.

Got MadWorld for $10, and from my sig, I guess it was fair to assume I liked it.

Overall, it took me 3 hours to beat but it was a ton of fun to play. I loved all of the different ways you can kill people and the weapons like the katana and twin blades made the fighting even crazier. My only problem was that the camera can get a bit wonky at times. And the graphics are extremely well done as is the commentary, which is pretty funny. If you haven't played it, it's a solid rent or a bargain bin deal. The length is the only reason I'm saying this, but it really is a must play for Wii owners.

The ending leaves things open but Telltale have Walking Dead, Fables, King's Quest, and Law and Order to work on so I wouldn't expect another season anytime soon.

Doesn't matter as long as it's coming. To be fair, they actually release games rather quickly. Something like 3 a year almost.

One of my good friends works out for them out in San Francisco and he says that deadlines are very important to them. They are not the largest company in the world, but each person is directed to work on one specific game.

But, I am pretty certain that a new episode/season will be coming from them. Just give them time as they have other seasons and they are pretty tiny.

Beat Revelations this morning. While I enjoyed it more than Brotherhood and had a better ending I feel like I missed something... or Ubisoft is just messing with me again.

Tried the multiplayer for the first time and it's awesome fun, even with morons running around the map looking for kills. I don't understand why they do that. It's way more fun to blend into a crowd, pretend to be an NPC and surprise your mark when they walk by/near you. Feels more rewarding, especially because my first ever round I wasn't killed once. I must have been doing something right.

Best game in the entire NES library. Yes, even better than Super Mario Bros. 3!

The production quality for this game was much higher then most NES games. Just look at this intro, it shows off the charm and personality of this game so well. Brings back memories.

You should check out Mr. Gimmick (wasn't officially released in the US, sadly)

It's for sure a fantastic game, but not better than Mario 3 IMO. I remember when Kirby's Adventure came out it was one of the last major releases on the NES and kept wondering why Nintendo didn't release it on SNES.

loved it great old school contra gameplay mixed with awesome animation. Really digged the whole pro shop deal that the Rising mode had.

I felt the same. Another thing I liked was that the shop allowed you to set your own challenge. If you were a newcomer to the series and are getting your butt kicked, the shop allowed you to upgrade until the challenge got lowered. I personally found the game easier than the NES games, so I used the shop seldom, except for continues, some life, and an upgraded spreader. In games like Contra, I like the challenge and find it a lot more satisfying when I beat it that way, instead of beating the game overpowered.

And I agree with the animation being great. I also loved the metal music. It fit the gameplay really well, especially the last song on the final boss. It made the fight so epic, though funny enough, I got a game over right after beating the final boss because I missed the helicopter.

Yeah the pro shop can make the game a little too easy if you load up on lives and continues (which are very cheap.) But it was fun to upgrade weapons and skills, which gives you an edge but keeps the challenge high. The metal music is indeed great. I somehow called the final form of the last boss I was like you know this guy is going to grow wings and chase after you.

Easier than the NES game? Have you beaten it on Arcade mode? Uprising is a much longer game and has quite a few tricky parts. But I dunno maybe because I have played the NES game so much it no longer feels like it has that legendary difficulty that people claim it has. There are still a ton of NES games I find way harder.

Dark Souls is not that hard.

Does it hold your hand? No. Are the enemies and bosses somewhat challenging? Errrrr, kinda, but not really. It's meant to be played in a specific way. You are suppose to take your time and try to fight enemies one on one. As for bosses, there isn't really any boss that is "soul crushingly difficult" or whatever stupid description mainstream reviewers like to give this game. Every boss has a weak spot and a pattern, just like most every other boss in a video game.

Any combination of upgraded weapons and armor will do it for you. As for traps, there actually isn't a lot of them throughout the game. You might get caught up in a trap the first time, but they are all very avoidable.

If you want to play this game but haven't picked it up because of how "soul crushingly difficult" it apparently is, well then I think you should forget everything you have heard about it from mainstream reviewers and most people on the internet in general, and just go for it. It's an excellent action RPG with a very unique take on multiplayer. Dark Souls is not a hard game.

I plan on picking it up down the line, but a) I have other games I need to play b) I really need to save money this year so I'm cutting back my buying of games and just going to replay older ones I've been meaning to for a long time. Dark Souls sounds like it's my type of game but it'll have to wait.
