Yeah very glad they tried to make every boss feel different this time instead of just throwing a BIG GUY at you. They do throw two or three big guys at you during the game but at least it isn't like every battle like in the first one.

Agreed, although I didn't find any boss hard at all in the game they were at least fun battles. Even the big guys in Arkham City needed more planning to take down than the Titan monster in Asylum.

I'm hearing there might be Story DLC coming soon... I don't know what to think.

Story felt pretty complete to me. Unless you are going to tell me Robin was off fighting Black Mask or something.

Robin fights Black Mask in his DLC challenge maps, don't think its crucial to the story though. But as for storyline DLC, I'd love to see Robin and Nightwing featured in the story as playable characters and involved in something big

if it went past the ending
Spoiler
there's definitely storys to tell regarding Hush and Azrael as well as Scarecrow (the boat shipments easter egg) and of course, if there is a sequel, then Harley and the son of Joker, which would be a lot similar to Batman Beyond's Return of the Joker

The Batman Beyond angle was one I was thinking too. Except... I love Kevin Conroy as Batman. Don't know ho I would feel if I couldn't play him as Batman.

Spoiler
He could always remain either as an older Bruce Wayne or still as Batman depending on when the sequel would take place, it shouldn't be too difficult to get around that. Mark Hamill ending his time as Joker is obviously harder but if there is a 'Joker Jr' if the Harley Pregnancy Test is significant enough, a different voice actor could fill the role.

Nightwing DLC is out tomorrow! I'll definitely be downloading it, still going through Robin's challenge maps

Can't see old man Bruce fighting a teenage Joker Jr that would be lame imo. If you aren't going to get Mark Hamil back, just focus on a different villian we already have seen the Joker done in two games.

See, I have all kinds of theories about what COULD happen:

Spoiler
1) The Batman Beyond theory I mentioned

2) The game will focus on another major villain like Hush, Ras (he'll be back), Clayface etc.

3) Hamill may be lying about not playing the Joker again and may return. Remember, Batman was knocked unconscious while trying to stop Joker from getting into the Lazerous pit. Clayface may have crawled out of the pit and turned into the sick Joker to mess with him again. I know Hamill said very early on this would be his last roll as the Joker but it may be smoke and mirrors and a surprise for the third game.

There are so many directions they could go in this series. I can't wait to see where it goes!

I think they'll wait until the next generation of consoles and make the majority of Gotham City with Batman dealing with Hush and the like during that time. Harley will probably just be pregnant and they might take the angle that it makes her even crazier. But you're right, there's any number of directions this can take.

DLC really doesn't matter. Even the Catwoman stuff really isn't needed. It gives you an alternate ending at one point (one I have yet to do) but really, don't let the DLC make you miss out on this awesome game. Seriously, I cannot recommend it enough.

Agreed. Unless you care THAT much about costumes and challenge maps than DLC isn't that important. Don't skip the game just because you can't dress up as another interpretation of BatMan (which, by the way, you can't use in story mode until you've beaten it once over anyway).

Only thing that sucks about the DLC is if you're a completionist, like me, you can't 100% the achievement list. You have no idea how much this pisses me off with xbox, even if you don't have the DLC and get all the achievements in the main game it doesn't go on your completed game list UNTIL you get all the DLC achievements. It's so stupid.

I agree that it's best to wait until the next generation of consoles, people were annoyed as it was when Arkham City was first announced roughly a year after Asylum came out, think TOO SOON TOO SOON (and look how that turned out!) And having even more powerful hardware paves the way for something really damn cool, and as for

Spoiler
Joker returning in a cheap way with Clayface, I feel Rocksteady given how well they kept the death of Joker under wraps (despite a certain Destructoid article) and the way that scene and the whole ending was played out, it seems far to forced and disrespectful to just how powerful that ending came off if you didn't know what was to come, and Hush would make an excellent sequel villain if further explored as a character, especially with his history with Bruce Wayne, and a more open Gotham City would allow Robin and Nightwing to have their own story lines coinciding with Batman's, given Two-Face, Freeze and especially Ra's al Ghul (He'd be great for a overall villain manipulating all the other 'supervillians') and with Azrael's warning, that could heavily foreshadow more League of Assassins involvement, and hell, we could even see Damien Wayne introduced given we've had Oracle, Talia ("That one night in Metropolis" quote) and Hugo Strange which the movies of recent years haven't explored.

I just beat it last night

Spoiler
Kind of torn on the ending. I was of bummed that Joker dies because it made me think I failed; more so than seeing Ra's and Strange die. I loved the game but that ending just didn't sit well with me. Even the pregnancy test kind of bothered me. I don't care if Joker and Harley have a kid.

But then while hunting down Riddler trophies I came across a signal that was a series of numbers that spelled out "I will return Batman". the signal is 625.95, 468.44. I know I'm not the first to find it, but I didn't see anyone mention it and it has me thinking that there's a chance Joker can come back. It could mean Ra's, but if it were Ra's I would expect him to have called me Detective, not Batman.

I will say that even with my issues with the ending, I really love this game. It exceeded my expectations in almost every way. By the time I got to the theater I didn't think it could pull anymore surprises on me and then they threw Clayface at me and I flipped out (in the good way). I had actually said a few days earlier to some friends that were there to be a third game it would be sweet to fight him thinking he wasn't going to show up here. Then when I went back and started my new game + I noticed Black Mask and an unmasked Deadshot in the lineup room.

Spoiler
Like I said in my other spoilers, there are many different ways they could bring back Joker. I'm not 100% convinced he's dead, especially if you listen during the credits.

As for the signal you spoke of, my theory is that's Scarecrow. I have no evidence to back it up, it's just a hunch. Could be Joker too.

The Hush angle could be a really good one for the next game. Thought they did an amazing job setting it up in Arkham City.

Also, like I said before I am SO glad I didn't look up much media on the game as Clayface was an amazing surprise to me. I was wishing he would be in the game, but I doubted he would be. That and he was probably the best boss battle in the game.

Well I'm now done all the side mission minus the Riddler crap. Saved the 4th Riddler hostage last night. I'm really enjoying the death trap sections though. They aren't too challenging, but they're really fun to complete.

I really feel like ScareCrow is going to be the major villain of the next game. His easter egg was much more hidden than any other character and was pretty significant. I'm thinking BatMan Begins ending type scenario where the city is totally overcome by fear gas or is at least in danger of it happening. Somehow Azrael will be involved in the main story but I don't know enough about the character or his group to know how.

Hush I get the feeling will stay a side mission. Not sure why, just a gut feeling.

As for Joker? As much as I love love LOVE Joker and Hamill playing him I really hope he stays dead. At least through the third game. True that Joker has "died" before in comics and such and come back later on but I feel like the way it was handled in the game was just too...final, to bring him back right away, if at all.

And I hope we get more Two-Face in the next one. No reason not to, nothing really happens to him that would make it impossible to bring him back. I just hope they do more with him as well. He was really underplayed and that was my ONE teeny tiny little gripe with the game because I was so excited to have him in it and then, while his moments at the beginning were pretty cool, it was all too short and you don't see him again until the very very end where nothing special happens...in fact you just make him look like a chump with CatWoman. Give him a proper scheme and story arc, even if it's a side mission and I'll be happy.

Spoiler
I know a little about Azrael. In the comics he took over as Batman after Bane broke Bruce Wayne's Batman's back in the Knightfall story arc. This also happened around the time I stopped reading comics so I don't know much else about him, just that he didn't have any problems with killing people as Batman.

I do have to agree that Scarecrow will probably be a major character in the next game, especially after we know he's still alive due to the easter egg. And I guess time will tell on the Joker front. Still years away from an Arkham City sequel... and that makes me sad...

If Scarecrow is the main villain following the Batman Begins route with fear-inducing gas throughout Gotham, with Hush a secondary story line (but not side-mission) in which is focused on Bruce Wayne, which would be awesome to explore, also, Two-Face could be a major villain with Penguin and other villains taking a backseat, since Two-Face did get pushed aside over a focus on Penguin and Freeze to an extent.
