Video Game companies are far worse at this. We don't need this many HDmakes. Most of these games aren't that old and have aged pretty well.

You have a point there.

I can see why this would piss people off, but I like the HD Collections because:

a) I had missed out on many of these games as when they originally came out as I was in college and had very little time for gaming (or money for that matter)

b) I had to sell a huge chunk of my gaming collection a few years ago in order to pay off debts/bills when my work was only paying me once every 7 weeks. Getting a collection of games I used to own and love on a system I still own makes me happy.

I like these collections and ports because I never had a system to play games like Metal Gear Solid (getting the HD collection) or are way too expensive to hunt down, like Code Veronica on the GameCube being well over $50 as well as the REmake, but the Wii port only being $20 and Code Veronica HD at $15. I also can have the entire (or a good portion) of the franchise at a much more reasonable price while being up to date on the series.

And a lot of companies have been doing this for a while. Last generation it was arcade compilations, Sonic collections, etc, while the previous was Square rereleasing their RPGs or Street Fighter collections. The only difference now is that some of the games are more up to date and just bundled as HD ports.

I should just make a new thread discussing how much racing levels suck and why they ruin whatever game I'm playing.

I give Mario Galaxy a 7/10 why? Because FUCK RACING LEVELS, that's why!

Between the two shitty manta ray levels, the stupid footraces, and speedruns, there's like over a dozen fucking stars where I'm racing to a finish line.

There were TWO in Mario 64...TWO.

Is this like cancer or something? because it happened to Rare too. When I read the description of nuts and bolts, I said fuck it, fucking hate racing. Seriously who was it who said "Let's make more racing levels?" On second thought, no, we shouldn't that man will be the only case of justifiable homicide by an enraged mob

This shit just needs to end. What happened this console generation where people said: "You know what we need? A way to utilize the 2 or 3 programming flaws in this otherwise perfect game, and ram it down everyone's throat!

These levels are like seeing a dude walk into a previously lesbian sex scene...

...no class. :nyor:

You get a pass for a one word summary. I'm talking about how people obsess over it, and use that word so much I want to immerse my fist through their sinus cavity.

People who park their cars in the middle of the freaking road. I swear, the road to my school is very narrow, with 2 cars barely being able to fit in it. Then instead of just parking it in their driveways, they park right in the middle of the road, making it impossible for 2 cars to go at a time, making a lot of traffic. And after a few weeks, someone hits it, gets the car totaled, and another dude comes and parks their car in the middle of the road. :-(

It doesn't help that most of the roads are under construction because the city is getting a grant.

At least with collections a generation or two ago they would go all out and cram on 20 or 30 titles to make it a pretty good value. A lot of these were arcade titles which never saw a home release or only saw a shoddy home port. There was a real sense of history and nostalgia being able to play classic arcade or atari games you remember or discovering hidden gems that would have otherwise been lost in time.

With this latest batch it seems to be fueled by greed and laziness. They only cover games from last gen which you can still likely find at Gamestop for $10, they only have 2 or 3 games on the disc, they omit important entries in the franchise, and they George Lucus it up by recasting the voice cast.

I believe I've mentioned this before, but it bears repeating

People who decide to ignore you and not answer a simple question you ask them simply because it's the Internet and they think that you're too lowly to give a crap about

Since you sent me a PM at roughly 5am this morning I couldn't reply to it since I was asleep, I have replied to your PM now.
There's no need to go making a scene on the forums about anything trying to get my attention.
Plus, you send both myself and Link a lot of PMs about spambots and always attempt to give them witty names, so it's easy for me to skim past them all.

This. I appreciate you calling out all bots/etc. though, I'm thinking we should just start making moderator authentication for the userbase. It's not like we're getting 30+ new users a day.

That's what I use on TPS. It's a glorious system.

I shouldn't buy stuff online when I'm drunk. Thought I ordered a copy of Two Worlds 2 Special Edition...turns out it was the first game :uhh:
