Gears 3

Alright, finally decided to get this, and I love the new features in horde

Loving it so far! The campaign is a lot of fun as usual, more so with 4 player co-op now and the multiplayer is much more balanced. Good stuff.

Picked up a limited edition today at Wal-mart. I did play the game for the last 3 days at my friends house when he got it. Course I had to get my own copy and might as well get the awesome limited edition with the COG medal, COG flag, Fenix family documents and photos it's all pretty cool. Even the game case itself is pretty neat, I barely played some of the campaign. Was planning on saving that to play with friends in a local game but I don't mind playing with some of you guys.

working on my insane playthru

unfair would be the best way to describe it. I swear you poke your head up for a second and any stray boomshot or turret with zero in on you. No downs, if you take damage it means instant death.

Which is why it's best when the other 3 players are doing casual mode, that way you only notice the difference when you split up

Oh you always notice. Every time a gas bag shows up they aim directly at you. The last boss is super annoying. It always aims for you with its instant death wave if you aren't paying attention or leave cover for even a second. You learn to dodge it quick enough but then it starts throwing guards at you. I kill 3 guards all while dodgeing the boss then turn around and 2 more guards are right behind me, wtf. We somehow found a sweet spot that doesn't keep throwing guards at you but the last boss must have taken us an hour.

I still need to finish some of the earlier acts on insane so if anyone wants to help me out, hit me up.

Beat it at 6AM this morning in a one sitting play through with a buddy.

Funny part was we were just going to play on normal but somehow I accidentally switched to Hardcore :-o

oops. Didn't bother to change it back. Was good times. :-D

I'm looking for group to do a campaign arcade run on insane with 4 people. Also gonna be getting as many collectibles as I can find that I don't already have. Also, I know a BUNCH of the easter eggs in the game, so I'm going to point those out for the lulz. My gamertag is DeltaZX, and I wanna start the run tomorrow (Wednesday) at around 5pm EST. Post here and add my on Xbox if you're interested.

So apparently a food chain called Jack In The Box is doing a US-only promotional offer for Gears 3. They're giving away codes for Green Liquid weapon skins, so if anybody happens to get a spare one I would appreciate it. :nyor:

You can do the same thing for the Beast Mode achievement where you kill with every creature

Looks like I'll have to ask my friend who works at a Jack in the Box to get me a code if he can. On another note GOW3 is getting it's first DLC on Nov.1.

Anybody else need to beat Campaign on Insane difficulty. As well as beat the game on 4 player co-op?

I was really big into gears 1, spent many hours playing, made top 1000 ranked execution for a time period as well. Didn't play too much gears 2 which is a shame, but i'm really getting into the third installment. Team deathmatch is a very nice multiplayer addition. Bought the gears xbox and season pass, say goodbye to my GPA. Also if you got any of those extra skins swordfish, and need to give em up, i'll take one.
