I'm happy for the Bruins. I'm just worried I'm going to die.

The Carter deal doesn't really surprise me. His name has been tossed around in trade rumors for weeks. It's the Richards trade that baffles me.

Bryzgalov's cap hit is only 5.6M. I'm fairly certain Carter alone would have cleared up enough space. Why trade Richards?

I heard rumours the Flyer`s players were really divided. One group siding with Richards and the other with Pronger... I guess they figure end this division by trading away Richards.

I suppose that makes sense. It would have to be a really serious problem for them to resort to this, though. We're not talking about a fourth line scrub here.

Well the draft has come and gone. This was argueably the best draft ever for the Sens. Three picks in the first round, two in the second (both playing for local teams so easy to develop) and picked up Filatov (6th overall pick in 2008) from Columbus for a third round pick. Not too shabby at all. Sens REALLY needed forward propects as they have a TON of stud defencemen coming up in the next year or two and it looks like they stocked up!

Up next: Free agency. Will Brad Richards go to the Rangers or the Leafs?

Brad Richards to the Rangers. Nine years, 60M. Cap hit of 6.67.

It's a risk for sure, but he is the kind of player you take that risk for. Solid deal.

Rangers also signed Mike Rupp for three years at 1.5 per and re-signed Ruslan Fedotenko for one year at 1.4. So far, so good, though I'll have to learn to like Rupp.

Can't say I am happy with Tim Connolly as the #2 man behind Richards..he is too unreliable due to his inability to stay healthy

Richards was a huge score for the Rangers he will bring that leadership the team was lacking and will be able to push guys like Gaborik into being better.

I expected the Leafs to make a big acquisition this year in free agency, but I am not one of those TSN crazy Leaf fans saying "Give Stamkos a BIG offer sheet, lure him to Toronto" I can see Burke doing something like that but with MacArther, and Schenn as RFA's he will need to find the cash to resign them as well. If he wants to that is.

Sharks trade Heatley to the Wild for Havlat. Seems how many teams is that tool going to play for before his contract is done?

I guess so! Never really had an opinion of them before. Oh well, the best part is the Wild are in Ottawa for the Sens home opener. I found that hilarious! I bet Heatley wasn't too impressed to hear that... going to to have to go get tickets for that game and prepare for round 2 of boo Heatley until my voice is gone.

So just wondering if anyone's interested in doing a Gameheroes Hockey Pool again this season? Just curious about numbers before I start asking other friends.

Haven't been checking the forums too much as of late as I have been moving, I was the commish of our league last year I know some people had fun with it and Yahoo is asking if i'd like to renew it, I would like to know if anyone is interested as it would be nice to have a big league as we did last year.

I would be changing some of the rules, making sure we track less stats and make it less goalie intensive..but still loads of fun..let me know..

Mr.Black since you got a lot of people on board let me know how you feel about it I have a couple people in mind 3-5 (myself included that would be interested) aside from GH forum users of course

Anyone is welcome.
