Good to know Best Buy still carries those shelves. I'm going to need them in the near future.

I worked at Gamestop for 5 years and that 15% discount really came in handy, especially when it came to buying collector's editions. I was also able to track down some harder to find PS2 rpgs and discontinued games and items in other stores from our computer.

I don't work there anymore because of the whole pennied out thing. Our store just got a new manager who was a dick and rather than talk to me about taking home a pennied out PC game he reported me to Loss Prevention. Long story short, I ended up quiting after being reprimanded and then they sent out an email to our district that they will fire people who take home pennied out items.

Great collection man. I'll never have one that big, but hopefully I can get close in my lifetime. :)

Awesome video! I've always wanted to work at a GameStop or something but I don't really like that store and it seems like everybody there are douches so it doesn't seem like it would be a fun job to have at all. I've never really been one to have a job where they tell you when to work and boss you around. I've always just made money on my own terms.

I only recently started collecting and this video got me thinking what my collection is going to look like another 10 years from now. All my PS2 games will be considered "retro." Imagine what Tom's collection is going to look like another 10 years from now!

Working at Hollywood Video is where I got alot of my movies and games. Especially near the end when our store was getting shut down, it was like a free-for-all for all the employees. I got most of my Gamecube games for free!

I loved every bit of this video... I remember that Nintendo press kit... I worked at Game Crazy at the time... Man... those were the days... I literally fell into NES systems there... That's also where I got my top load NES... I am a huge fan of this and even though my collective is highly dwarfed in comparison, I now have an aspiring goal to meet... Thanks, Pimpin!!! ^_^

Yes it was.

I really don't understand why SC would think you were stupid for having the game collection; in fact I can't understand why any gamer would ever say anything like that.

well...tom says himself he went into debt for collecting. That doesn't sound too wise to me.

Of course SC is a jerk but that's a different story, sounds like he was giving some ok advice in this instance.

I could be wrong, but the way HT said it, SC wasn't saying it was dumb because he was going into debt. but that doing the collection itself was dumb, i.e. a waste of time.

so ill serve back into positve ground, and say one thing I laughed a little in their collection, was the Yamagato Industry business card when I visited. it caught me off guard but was still cool to look at.
