it's a movie called train spotting. Timusforlife told me what it was so all credit goes to him.

Aha! That works. I don't think I've ever seen the DVD/Poster for Trainspotting, thus explaining the confusion.

So, the writers of "Zombie Land" have been picked up to write the Deadpool movie!

I havn't seen the movie so I can't comment on wether they're a great choice or not, but I know they're (or at least one of them) paying attention to fan concerns. So that makes them okay in my book!
This dude who has a youtube channel dedicated to Deadpool (Deadpool and Friends) did a vlog with MGalusic (a youtube user who does a Deadpool fan series) discussing the choice and then via twitter, Rhett Reese (one of the writers) responded to him and their discussion saying:
"@YouTubeDeadpool: Enjoyed the listen! You do need to check out Joe Schmo! We're aware of all your concerns!"

I beleive this feeling coming over me is what you would call...hope. :-)

DEADPOOL: MERC WITH A MOUTH #12 (of a 13-Issue Limited Series)

That's the solicitation I saw for June's issue. Guess it's already run it's course. I never remember them saying it was limited though. Also, I just found out that Liefield is doing the artwork for Deadpool Corps. Looks like I'm not getting the book.

That is totally weird, I never heard that before either. As much as I think it's decent, I wouldn't mind it ending for my wallet.

Apparently they just decided it was a limited by ending the run. It's been declining in sales.

The end result of this all is, everyone loved Deadpool and now everyone is sick of seeing him in every series:

Geez... Marvel, you're saying that oversaturation and bad ideas is a bad thing!? News to me...

Just by reading the previews for Deadpool Team-Up, I can definitely say that the next issue is going to be AWESOME and hilarious.

Is it just me or does anyone feel like they should be dropping Deadpool's main title right now? These past couple of arcs have been pretty mediocre.

I think Skrull Invasion, Thunderbolts Crossover, and Hawkeye Dark Reign were the only outstanding stories that have happened so far.

How the fuck am I learning of this amazing thread now?

I fucking love Deadpool, but I knew people would start getting tired when Marvel started treating him like a two dollar whore. He doesn't work in every single series, damn it. Just hope he'll stick around.

Chances are his life expectancy will run out. I honestly think all this Deadpool overdosing is just going to hurt the live action movie and also hurt any other Deadpool related stuff. The thing that made Deadpool awesome was the sprinkling of him here and there and his series. But, nowadays, he's just everywhere for the sake of being there. It really ruins the specialness.

Because they did the same thing with The Punisher back in the '90s, and it worked wonders for a while.

They realize how well he sells and/or popular he is, so they are doing Deadpool everything to make some extra dough.

I wouldn't mind if they wrote him as his old "crack jokes to hide how miserable he is" self, I tire of this Bugsybunnypool

I agree, a "serious" Deadpool story is something I think I could enjoy. Something that just gets to the character at his core instead of being a "lol funny" type of book. Like a Deadpool: Origins series.

XD That was great.

The only two Deadpool series that are worth reading are Deadpool and Wade Wilson's War. Unfortunatly my comic book shop puts every Deadpool book into my pull bag, so I end up reading them all.

Deadpool MAX is now canon. Until it's not. Kyle Baker is on it which is hot hot hot. Character designs of the Chester Gould school painted up real pretty.

See, I bailed on it all, because I financially couldn't do it. Maybe I'll get some trades or just torrent it? :-/

Maybe the ICv2 announcement from the big two could offer you a little comfort. DC said they're going beck to $3, and Marvel was kinda "uhh... I guess we are too then."

On the other hand, mini-trades collecting four issues instead of six at pretty much the same price mean floppies are actually a better value than the collections now.
