He's an older member who actually built the original GH site. He's been MIA for awhile now.

I moved to a place with internet so slow that I was unable to pretty much do anything. Eventually its been upgraded to the point where I can access forums at a decent speed. Before I was pretty much limited to the 3G network on my phone and browsing and posting on forums is really difficult on my phone.

You could enable hotspotting on your phone, then use the Wifi connection on a computer to use that internet. It's decently fast. Fast enough for Netflix streaming.

Found out early yesterday evening a buddy of mine died in a cliff jumping accident. Came as a complete shock to me. Had to send a message everyone who played college rugby with me about his passing, and everyone's shocked. He was a great guy whose zest for life an thrills caught up to him. I can't make the funeral as I'm heading in the other direction in Ontario to attend my girlfriend's brother's wedding, but it looks like a lot of the guys are making the trip for the funeral which is good to hear. God, 2012 has seen a lot of people pass in my life...

I'm sorry to hear about both losses. It sucks to hear about someone that you were friends with pass on, especially when they were in the same age group as you. About 5 years ago sometime this week (I think), I had heard that one of my friends from college had drowned and died. She was 21 at the time, and I was 22. She had great zest for life, and when it came to partying, she partied hard (drink or drug), but she was a great person.

Yeah, thanks. It's never easy losing a friend, especially so young. It hit me bad because in my college rugby playing days he was my final rookie. What that means on our team veteran players pick out rookie players for the year to do their bidding. Get equipment for practice, get beer upon request for their vet, dress up in costume for rugby keggers and other silly and humiliating things that are all in good fun. Sounds demeaning, but you do form a bond between rookie and vet. His rookie year happened to be my final year of college and he was my replacement #7. He was a football player that never played rugby so I helped teach him how to play. He was a bone-crushing player and ended up playing in New Zealand, home of the best players in the world.

One vivid memory I remember of him was one Saturday night he came over to my place with a case of beer and wanted to chill. All my roommates were gone somewhere so he and I drank beer and played through Super Mario 3 from start to finish until 4am. Nothing says fun times like drinking a 24 and playing NES. Even though I haven't seen him in awhile I'm going to miss the guy. Sad I can't make it to the funeral as a lot of the other rugby guys will be there too to pay their respects.

How much is he asking? What model is it and what games?

I'd likely jump at it. PSP has a huge library, games are dirt cheap, and you can easily mod it run all kinds of retro emulators.

I bought a PSP a while back, modded the shiz out of it. My brother in law gave me his pretty much brand spanking new PSP1000 so now I have a backup. My daily use one is Laverne and the backup is Shirley. Love that system.

He's wanting $75 for it, the cables, and 4 games (one's a MLB game, one's a Twisted Metal game, he didn't remember what the other two were). He said he got it for christmas, so it might be the latest model. I didn't jump on it yet because I haven't seen it yet, (The art of haggling rule #1: Always check the merchandise).
