I've been recording music for a few years now and I've finally decided to start uploading my songs to youtube, seems to be a lot more accessable to everyone rather than having to navigate through a website to download the songs. It also gives me a good chance to show off some of my photography at the same time.
I'm thinking about uploading a new song every day or so for a week (maybe two if I get lucky), so I'm going to use this topic instead of spamming the "Musician in You" thread.

To kick it off here's a cover of the theme song for possibly the best TV show of all time:

I can't decide whether I should upload another cover first or put an original up next.

Knowing that you play a lot of instruments, it shouldn't come as that big of a surprise that the cover would turn out good. I would like to see what else you have, 'cause this be pretty neat.

Oh and what did you use to make this?

I used an AKAI LPK25 Midi Keyboard and Logic Pro on my Macbook. I added some reverb, a compressor, limiter, flanger on some of the bass, tremelo and expander for the funky beginning, there's also a Fuzz-Wah on the Clavi, a slight Stereo Delay on the Synth and bells and I used a ringshifter to get that funky fuzz sound at the start.
There's some more but that's the gist of it.

Personally I would upload original stuff. Covers are the protection for the weak musician. Put yourself out there and upload your original shit. I always used to yell at bands in the bar to play originals most wouldn't but some would and it'd be surprising to hear the difference between what they were covering and the actual style of their original songs.

Don't get me wrong covers are cool once in awhile, especially with electronic music because it always sounds drastically different, but share YOUR music with the world!

Sounds like a plan, next song will be an original, I might alternate it every day or something like that then.

I really liked the songs you posted. Railwards is probably my favorite out of your two originals, and I really liked the guitar track. It was a really nice and calming song to me. I also thought the drum track in Interwined was pretty awesome.

You know, every time I hear one of your tracks, it makes me want to try to learn guitar again. But sadly, it's a mixture of me not putting too much in it and having trouble understanding chords and stuff. Maybe some day.
