First of all, do you all enjoy them? We really do plan to make them a monthly exchange. Do you think we should do them at all? More? Less?

Secondly, do you like how its structured currently? While the issue Mongo and I did was a test run, this past issue was probably more what it was going to be like from now on. And while we are going to keep it random and the selections secret, do you think we should keep doing like we are doing right now and do it without preparation or should we select our characters a couple of days in advance to give us time to build up more of an argument?

Also, while we ultimately are going to have a say on what is going to be in the drawing, we highly encourage you all to suggest future characters to us. Obviously don't post those here but instead PM one of us. Keep in mind that whoever you PM the idea to doesn't mean they are going to defend it, but they will just add it to the collection to choose at random in the future.

Definitly keep at as a first of the month segment. I dig it.

I'd say prep time should be given. Wether that involves knowing your character ahead of time or just giving a minute for the person to do a quick scan of a wikipedia page to get a bit of info doesn't make any difference to me, whatever works for you guys, just so long as it means you wont be totally in the dark if you get a character ya don't know about.

I dig the segment but so prep work would go a long way. You could end up pulling names that both know little to nothing on and the segment would just fall flat or become terribly one sided. This way even with the random drawing you've got at least time to come up with something. You can even have the judge/mediator keep the the drawings secret from those going head to head to keep things interesting.

To use the last one as an example Beeslo would draw the two names, tell Link only who he's got, tell Mongo only who he's got and then give them time to research. Whatever mount of time you'd think is suitable for looking up info is your call.

Honestly, this past example was the one I was thinking about. Link knew nothing about Howard. Guess we have to give him some time...me? I can go on the fly and I think Mongo could too hence how he and I can get in such heated yet entertaining debates at the drop of a hat.

haha, yeah, but you guys had Lizard vs. Mimic who are both semi-well known characters (at least Mimic has been in some comics recently.) My only exposure to Howard the Duck was like a Marvel Zombies cover (when I found out he WAS a comic character) and a movie from my childhood.

It'd be like, if you drew a name and had to defend The Whizzer (A Marvel Flash Knock-Off), Bat-Mite, or like Krypto the Superdog. You'd just be like "Fuck, I don't even know ANYTHING about these characters."

For a majority of that list that we have, I can defend most of them without reading up on stuff. But, if people are in a situation like mine where they're totally clueless about the character's powers/skill sets, I'd say go read a quick wiki summary before we start but nothing too more involved than that.

I enjoy the segment. Definitely a keeper. I agree with all of the statements above though. There should be at least a couple of minutes of prep time before the debate.

I love this segment, however some prep-time will make it even better.

Basically, I'm with the general consensus. I like it; keep it going; but more prep time.

Even though I helped think up this segment, I do think that we should have prep time. Even if it's only 5 mins. Link in the last one could have probably come up with a funny defense had he been able to read Howard the Duck's wiki page.

A discussion with my brother and I caused me to finally decide on a future versus suggestion.

Black Canary vs Black Cat.
