Awesome breakdown of the title card.
Jesus, that robbery story was just fuckin sad...

Oh Snap! Shttin on Warren Ellis and Clark Kent, you be landing on people's shitlists today.
Moon Knight, Crazy Person. LoL. (don't know this character, but that felt random & ridiculous)
Oh man, if Panic does work in the R34 realm, there might be no turning back. :skerd:
The bloopers were killing me, you guys. Long time since I laughed that hard.

I'm pretty sure Dick Grayson and Barbara Gordon were engaged just prior to Infinite Crisis, and then in the One Year Later it was dropped and they retconned it out.

As far as Clark Kent being good reporter: I'd say its on par with Peter Parker working for the Daily Bugle. Sure being a photographer is a much cooler job, but at the end of the day they both are making money off of their own heroics. I'd even argue that Superman being a reporter is a bit more believable because he can just write what happened. Peter would have to somehow hide a ton of carmeras, rig some kind of timers or sensors, and hope they come out in focus.

As for divorced characters I know Ray Palmer, The Atom, got divorced and it sort of plays a part in how Identity Crisis played out. Also think Donna Troy, Carol Ferris and Manhunter are divorcees.

I think the most believable relationship I've read is Wally West and Linda Park. Mark Waid, Mark Millar and Geoff Johns all did really great work balancing Wally's life as the Flash and his relationship. Granted, I did end up hating how they just wrote Wally off once they had kids, but by that point they had tried to make Bart in The Flash and then they brought back Barry.

The thing about Peter Parker is that we actually SEE his work. I don't think I've ever seen Clark actually work.

Another huge divorce we left out...Janet and Hank Pym from the Avengers. Reed Richards and Susan were separated for a short while if memory serves correct.

I said Reed/Sue got separated, but never got divorced, you were too busy looking for certain pictures to remember that I guess.

Again, that comes back to Peter's job being more visually engaging. Do you really want a scene of Clark hunched over a keyboard typing about how great he is? Also he hasn't been at the Planet in a few years due to the New Krypton and Grounded arcs.

I thought Hank and Jan got divorced too, but I wasn't sure because I wasn't reading Avengers at that time.

I sure do!

If not him working, results of his work. I don't think I've ever seen a moment where someone is holding up a paper saying, "Look at this article that Clark wrote." Or anything like that.

The guy is a bum. Parker does it to make a living. Superman does it so he can get with Lois.

In the wake of John Byrne's reboot of Superman continuity in The Man of Steel, many traditional aspects of Clark Kent were dropped in favor of giving him a more aggressive and extroverted personality (although not as strong as Lois), including such aspects as making Clark a top football player in high school, along with being a successful author and Pulitzer Prize-winning writer. Furthermore, Clark's motivations for his professional writing were deepened as both a love for the art which contributes at least as much social good as his Superman activities and as a matter of personal fulfillment in an intellectual field where his abilities give no unfair competition to his colleagues beyond typing extraordinarily fast.

AWESOME TITLE CARD! I like the episode and it had some really good parts, but I also felt like it got kinda homophobic by the end and I had a hard time enjoying those parts.

Sorry if it came off that way, didn't mean for anyone to not be able to enjoy it. That was not the intent.

This issue is Thundercats Gay

Oh, and your problem is you're searching on Google. You have to go to image sites to get the nitty gritty

Yeah, that was absolutely not the intent. It's more that we all know that yaoi (sp?) and fan art exist for this sort of thing, so it all spurned from me guessing that there was most likely cyclops/wolverine art out there...I was proven wrong. I think I did find one though. But never were we saying anything derogatory about gays or anything like that.

We actually have been planning a gay characters in comic topic.

I mentioned Question & Batwoman. I probably would've mentioned more about male gay characters, but I don't read any of the books they're in (usually seems to be X titles.)

The bloopers were definitely just us testing out the "rule 34" of the Internet.

Wiccan and Hulkling from Young Avengers were in a relationship.

Ultimate Colossus was gay for no real reason (I still don't get why they bothered).

Apollo and Midnighter from Wildstorm were together for a long time, but the pricks at DC split them up because they didn't like how the stand ins for Superman and Batman in that universe were gay, which was BS.

In the middle of listening to the issue right now and I came across this small article in response to the situation with Mike Meyer:
http://www.comicsalliance.com/2011/09/15/mike-meyer-superman-theft-original-art/.

Very awesome.

Oh yeah. The most I've encountered them is with the Runaways tie-ins for events, and now I can't believe we didn't talk about Runaways and how forced and messed up everything was in that book sometimes.

Because anything said to that effect would be incorrect.

That book was all over the place with its relationships. Sure they're teens and all, but they spent 80% of the plot hooking those kids up every which way (or maybe just Nico.)
