Sara was a wonderful guest I must say and her art is spectacular. Sadly she was the one I had hardest time hearing throughout this issue.

Now the main subject was great, nothing like nostalgic TV. Speaking of, Adult Party was sadly terrible. Just felt like John Kricfalusi was venting all his built-up frustration over years of censorship...

When you talked about the Nic Cage head, I did eBay search and actually found another head with color; http://tinyurl.com/66xfhdf

Now about your VoIP problems. I'm no expert, I only use Skype myself, but I looked around for some suggestions;
  • Google Talk
Well, Google is trying become #1 in everything so perhaps it beats Skype.
  • Ventrilo
Now this one is heavily recommend by the MMO crowd. It's a little more work, because of the server setup (or rent a server, also an option).
  • ooVoo
Not really sure I should put this one on the list, because it's free version has become really limited. But according to some tech blogs & mags it is a good contender to Skype.

After looking into things more, it seems to be less of a Skype issue and more of a computer type issue.

Certainly bringing back many fond memories.

Btw, totally agree with Saturday Morning Cartoons being totally dead. The only thing I can find in that old block that's worth watching is DBZ Kai

Listening now.

About the audio issue though...I have zero knowledge on this kind of thing, so this may or may not have anything to do with the problem, but, who knows, maybe it'll help.
This fella (known on the net as "VegettoEX") puts out a weekly Dragonball podcast that I'm a fan of and the audio quality is great. A while ago he made a blog post about his setup.
http://www.vegettoex.com/blog/2009/01/02/my-podcasting-setup/
Again, I have no idea if that'll help since I have no knowledge on this kinda thing, but I figure you could take a look at it, read it and see if it helps at all.

Cool show with a really interesting guest. I half expected this pic to show up when she mentioned her work on Black Widow

If I had to wall space I would totally pick up a few of her prints because I was really digging the art style.

There are some things to say about this episode's topic *knuckles crack*:

I, too, grew up with Thundercats, but I do not believe it has aged very well.

Though I never watched it, Transformers Animated was actually pretty popular and well-received.

Great shows that are canceled too quickly: This one is probably debatable, as my taste may vary from the rest of the users, but when I hear "great shows that are canceled too quickly," shows such as Flapjack and Robotomy (only ten episodes) come to mind.

Rocko's Modern Life, unfortunately, was never my cup of tea. I believe I enjoy it a little more now than as a kid, but I simply cannot get into it like my friends can.

Ren & Stimpy, again, is a show that I feel has not aged well. Maybe it's because I am older, or maybe my taste in humor has been altered, but Ren & Stimpy doesn't make me laugh as much as I did as a kid. But Adult Party Cartoon? Oh boy, there may be too much to say about that.

Poor Spongebob. After the creator left (after the movie), the humor took a downward slide to blandness.

Never got into Doug as a kid. In humble honesty, I don't think I'll go back and watch it any time soon.

When The Fairly OddParents first aired, I thought it was pretty good. Now, however, not so much... And there's the upcoming live-action movie coming soon that is supposed to end the series, which I have a feeling will not turn out so well.
Danny Phantom was canceled after three seasons. I thought it was an okay show.

Wolverine and The X-Men was awesome. I am still saddened that it only lasted one season (Colossus was planned to return in the second season).

I do enjoy The Avengers: Earth's Mightiest Heroes!, despite some of its flaws.

Overall, I am glad you guys didn't complain about how cartoons today are "not what they used to be," like too many other nerds do.
If there are any cartoons I could recommend, I would say give Adventure Time and/or Regular Show a chance.

Sara has some unique art. I must shamefully admit that not all of it matches my taste, but she does have talent. She made a fine host for your podcast.

I didn't voice it much, but Ren & Stimpy was a mixed bag for me. I remember watching it, but I always remember watching it BECAUSE it was part of Snick and I had to sit through it to watch Are You Afraid of the Dark or whatever it was that was on after R&S aired.

I love having these very conversations (about old cartoons and shows we liked) over and over with my friends.

We for the most part always share good feelings for everything. Though we do disagree on some, one of my friends didn't/doesn't like Angry Beavers...It takes a lot of will power not to deck him right in the mush :-D .

There is one show though above all others that EVERYONE I've ever known has absolutely no love for and that's "Hey Dude".

Sara was a very cool guest. It'll be a while before I can, but I WILL get one of those Spider-Man prints one of these days  ! Probly one of those Dinosaur ones too  .

See! SEE! I think Beeslo is the only one who might like that show. Definitely a Texas thing.

I actually really loved Hey Dude. Granted I can't remember much of it but I do remember there being an episode where they were all trying to scare each other like having a head on a hat case; barge into someone's room with a hand saw and hockey mask and all of them being ineffective. But I will say Salute Your Shorts was the better of the two.

I never said I loved the show, but Sheep Cannon is right that Salute Your Shorts was the better of the two. Hey Dude was definitely the precursor to the live action kid sitcom and Salute Your Shorts simply built upon it with better characters and an awesome theme song.

It's not canon until you edit the recording to make them say it :nyor:

Nah, you can just do a "note from the editor" retcon or just go along pretending that's what was said. :p
