Not sure if this will help with figuring out what volume you guys are on, but to clear up the AMS comparison, the book's history is listed like this:

AMAZING SPIDER-MAN
(1963-CURRENT)

AMAZING SPIDER-MAN
VOLUME 2 (1999-2003)

I would take that as you guys are on volume 1 still. But if you had finished volume 2 and then started a 3rd season with the original numbering then that would be folded into volume 1.
:-?

I already contacted Beeslo about this roughly a week ago, but I was able to acquire a spare N64 system (with component cables and controller). Hopefully I can send him everything by the end of the month.

Also, will our forum questions ever be answered?

Considering the show was almost 1.5 hours long, we decided to hold off on them. Don't worry, we'll still be answering questions down the road.

On the whole "Volume" issue.
Do you guys plan on taking annual breaks from the show like the one you had this past year?
If so then I'd say you can keep doing "Volumes" and just change the number every time you come back (like a TV season).
If not? I'd say just stick with regular numbering.

Not really, that break was actually unexpected for various reasons. If something like that were to happen again, it wouldn't be planned.

The reason it became Volume 2 was because of my death, which lasted much longer than anticipated (and I was originally coming back for the big 40 as part of the "big numbers=big events" thing comics do, but instead saved that for 50, which admittedly was a bit pulled out of our asses by adding comics to the #ing that usually wouldn't, such as the team-ups or the specials. If you go by the normal #ing we're actually somewhere in the 40s still I think.) But, either way, we're #50 now. Deal with it.

I preferred using Volume 2 as a marker that denotes that we've changed, and the show did change a lot in my absence, there was a lack of comic of the week, a lack of me, and a lot of other changes in the format/story, almost like a new season of a show.

If we do swap back to a new volume # it will probably be once again because of an overhaul of the show and/or format.

Then we shall most definitely "deal with" the "it", as you say.

Edit: Completely slipped my mind - this could be useful advice for your playthrough of Superman 64, Beeslo.

I will let you know that my "punishment" will not happen until I can schedule a good time to do it. February is already becoming pretty booked for me, so it may not happen until March, at the earliest.

Finally got a chance to listen to the whole show. I wasn't expecting 2 YBIR videos in the same week so that was pretty cool.

Congratulations on issue 50! Fun issue 50 facts: Spidey gave up on his 50th and Hal Jordan went nuts and became Parallax. Glad to see you guys going strong on yours.

Here are some of my thoughts on 2010

Favorite Series: Justice League Generation Lost. Like Mongo, the JLI team is probably on of my favorite teams and I really hope they do something with them all after to series wraps up. Rocket Red is the shining star of the book for me.

Least Favorite: Daredevil. I tried to stick with it but it was just awful, more so than Return of Bruce Wayne.

Favorite Single Issue: Larfleeze Christmas Special. Watching Hal try to explain that Santa Claus is fake to him was priceless and the book was only made better by the fact that it provides an Orange Lantern Cookie recipe and some other Larfleeze related bits.

Underdog/surprise of the year: Darkwing Duck. While the nostalgia for the show is a huge factor, the art and tone of the book is great. The second arc that involes hundred of alternate universe Darkwings is a big standout because there are countless nods to other Disney, DC and Marvel in the DW variations. I will say though Thunderbolts and Ant-man and Wasp mini were really close to being my choice for this one.

Standout new writer/artists: Paul Cornell's run on Action Comics came out of no where for me and I'm going to miss Lex having his own book. Jeff Lemire's Superboy was another pleasant surprise.

As for what I'm looking forward to in 2011 that crossover Link mention sounds pretty cool if only for an appearance of Arcade. Aside from that I'm looking forward to Flashpoint, the GL movie, Arkham City, Peter Tomasi and Patrick Gleason's run on Batman and Robin and War of the Green Lanterns. To name a few.

On a side note: That side book to Return of Bruce Wayne that you guys mentioned, Time Masters, isn't even finished yet lol. Bruce has been back for what, two months already, and issue #6 of Time Masters won't hit stores until Feb 2nd. It's a decent book though, delays withstanding.

Great intro Link, keep it vivid.

HOLY CRAP THAT TRAILER WAS LOUD.

Now that is one fucking ugly Batman cover. (Batman & Robin)

Very nice background music throughout the podcast, however a little loud at times. Just curious, what was that "Nightwish'y" song around 12:00?

The volume business, well using it to mark the big changes in the podcast kinda feels most logical to me.

Whoops. Sorry, didn't troubleshoot the volume on that, just put it in the video and assumed it was at a normal level.

I hear that if you say Kaiserhawk's name three times in a podcast he appears in a mirror behind you and steals your soul.
