Yeah, I realized this too when I was thinking about Infinities. Both were great non-canon comic books.

Dead Link Standing Up for His Questionable Tastes

I can stand by everything I've got questionable taste in, except maybe Pet Avengers, it went downhill pretty fast after the first limited series, and I now just get them for Cait (although I originally bought them during the initial run because there was an excellent interview where the creators said that Lockheed was going to make a deal with Mephisto in the comics and reset animal continuity throughout the marvel universe, so I was pretty much onboard with them at that point.) Although Throg is pretty much a badass, especially when drawn by Skottie Young:

Image

PS. Don't be deterred by Mongo & Beeslo's bashing of Kaiji, I'm not even sure if they've watched the first episode or not (plus Mongo watches Shojo anime on a semi-regular basis, so I don't want to hear it from him.) I have recommended it to at least 20 members of our collective forum community and they have all said positive things about it. Such fine folks such as Sollah, MsCupcakes, Coolspot, and our favorite troll OtakuDad have all enjoyed it. I know there have been others, but I can't recall names off the top of my head. Possibly Daigo, GamerChris (who showed it to his anime club at university and they all loved it), Yoko, LimePenguin, and yeah, can't remember other specific names but there were a few more I pimped it to.

Plus there was a live action movie!

I forgot at the time but I'm going to add 'Naughty Bear' to that list...

Yet they're making a sequel to naughty bear, so apparently SOMEBODY liked it, haha. Although, that honestly wasn't me. Naughty Bear as a concept had a lot of potential, once it came out I immediately STOPPED talking about it, so that doesn't count as questionable taste.

Honestly, all I did was say the name of the anime they were talking about. I have every intention of watching Kaiji and Akagi. I watch all genres of a semi-regular basis. I am very open minded when it comes to anime and the only anime genre that I don't really care for are ero-games turned into anime. I've seen 421 things so I'm obviously open minded and watch a lot of stuff. Also, if I said anything it was just to tease you and I don't actually think you have questionable tastes outside of the whole Dazzler thing lol

P.S I was going to say Final Fantasy 7

But I'm in the minority of not liking that one :err:

Despite that big paragraph I wasn't taking anything personally. I know it's all in good fun (although even in good fun I'm not sure how you can call liking Gambit questionable, he was the quintessential "cool '90s mutant".)

I'll also be honest that I've only taken a really keen interest in Dazzler ever since you guys gave me a hard time about liking to play as her in the X-Men Arcade game. Prior to that I knew very little about the character outside of the disco outfit and that her ability had something to do with light. After looking into it, she's one of those characters who is always in the background of all the various x-books and never has a major role, but the Dazzler One-Shot by Jim McCann was actually pretty cool (if you skipped over it you should give it a read.) Despite her silly name and original costume she basically has the ability to turn sound into light and/or laser beams, which is pretty cool as far as I'm concerned. :p

Even though we joke about big sticks, I'm with you on Gambit. Yeah he used to be everywhere, but I've always liked the guy.

You're not alone on that one; I'm in the same boat.

Btw I just looked into some of DC solicits and it looks like JMS finalized his scripts all the way through March at least, so chances this change won't really be felt for a good while still.

Possibly, but Phil Hester and such were already stepping in for a filler issue in 605 or whatever, weeks before JMS made this announcement.

I'm actually going to stand by not liking Gambit. Purely on a matter of taste though.

Also I forgot to metion it on the show, but why has Antman (Either Eric, Hank, or Scott) never summoned a big ball of ants and thrown them at an enemy?

'Desist your attacks Stiltman or I'll throw these ants at you. They bite, and they can go everywhere....EVERYWHERE'

LoL Beeslo, your aunt May sounds like Nick Swardson character.

Oreo, yeah I just began seeing them in stores this year.

How about the Deep Fried Butter, didn't that win a prize?

He said Peanut Butter, but was cut off.
