Sig Of The Week 2 - Science Fiction!

INTRO

Hey, it's me! Link! I'm hosting SOTW on The Game Heroes. I'm going to switch a few rules around that you may have been familiar with.

Seriously though, when you're going to vote for a sig, you need to write more than a sentence. Try to at least write a decent paragraph if possible. End of story.

Also, usernames in your signatures are now optional. Anybody can slap a username on a signature someone else made, or photoshop out someone else's signature and put in their own.

ENTRY RULES

- The sig/tag must be somehow related to this weeks theme.

- Sigs may not exceed over 450(w)x250(h).

- No sigs that you made 30 days ago or older that just happens to fit the theme.

- Animated GIF file size is up to the judge, please don't embed a full motion picture video into your sig.

- Sigs are due every TUESDAY AT 11:59 EST by posting in this topic, or e-mailing them to thescarletorder at gmail dot com (no exceptions)

- Hosts have a right to deny entries for reasons not listed above, if it so happens that you think your entry is denied without fairness, please take the problem up with me.

VOTING RULES

- You cannot vote for yourself.

- When VOTING, please state "I vote for _____, because _______." This is used to determine how you vote. If your vote is based on just your favorite character or franchise, your vote will be denied. Please vote based on your favorite design and/or style. Please try to be descriptive as possible.

- Votes simply based on sexual themes or similar themes shall be denied, as well as votes based on favorite game and character. We're voting on DESIGNS not which character is the hottest/coolest.

- Hosts have a right to deny votes for reasons not listed above, if it so happens that you think your vote is denied without fairness, please take the problem up with me.

GENERAL RULES

- Be a fair competitor, do no flame upon other competitor or contest host just because your entry did not get enough votes

- Rules are always subject to change without notice.

TIMELINE

- Voting period starts as soon as I repost all entries in this post, Friday 12:00 PM EST is the cutoff.

- Voting period ends on Saturday and winner(s) is/are announced.

- New themes start on Saturday.

DESCRIPTION

This is pretty broad, and sort of like the 'future' sotw we had, but also different. Science Fiction can also take place in the past. Anywho, the only REAL rule is NO Superheroes, considering it was sort of the theme from the last SOTW here, even though there was only one superhero entry.

However, I'm sure everyone else will get to be a smug bastard as well. I'm just glad Freedom isn't here, or else it'd be his own personal hall of fame, haha.

PS. I just realized I need to re-add a hall of fame on SA too.

You guys can blame my girlfriend if you're really upset about the broad topic. I asked her for a theme idea, since I figured it'd be interesting to get a theme not from me. Personally, I think it'll be a lot of fun though.

it's a great theme don't get me wrong i like it a lot. there's just so many choices to make, i'm excited to see what people come up with.

Not the best thing ever, but I think it still turned out sorta neat for a science fiction sig.

TAH-DAH!!!!!

I'm not sure why the file size is so huge on it... probably because of the motion blur effects.

This is the first time I've ever made a 'real' animated gif for sig of the week, most of my others just involve some transitioning background or a sig rotation or something. A few exceptions are the epic ScrewAttorney ones.

It took forever to get the colours right in this one, but I think it was worth it. :-)
