Sig Of The Week 26 -Jealousy

INTRO
Let's try revive this again!

Usernames in your signatures are optional. Anybody can slap a username on a signature someone else made, or photoshop out someone else's signature and put in their own.
In the spirit of trying to get as many entries as possible, you are allowed use sigs that are more than 30 days old.

ENTRY RULES
- The sig/tag must be somehow related to this weeks theme.
- Sigs may not exceed over 550(w)x260(h). [Making exceptions only for sigs using transparency, but be reasonable]
- Animated GIF file size wont be limited, although, use common sense, no 10min long animations or anything like that
- Sigs are due MONDAY AT 11:59 EST by posting in this topic, or PMing them to me.
- Hosts have a right to deny entries for reasons not listed above, if it so happens that you think your entry is denied without fairness, please take the problem up with me.

VOTING RULES
- You cannot vote for yourself.
- When VOTING, please state "I vote for _____, because _______." This is used to determine how you vote. If your vote is based on just your favorite character or franchise, your vote will be denied. Please vote based on your favorite design and/or style. Please try to be descriptive as possible.
- Votes simply based on sexual themes or similar themes shall be denied, as well as votes based on favorite game and character. We're voting on DESIGNS not which character is the hottest/coolest.
- Hosts have a right to deny votes for reasons not listed above, if it so happens that you think your vote is denied without fairness, please take the problem up with me.

GENERAL RULES
- Be a fair competitor, do no flame upon other competitor or contest host just because your entry did not get enough votes
- Rules are always subject to change without notice.

TIMELINE
- Voting period starts as soon as I repost all entries in this post, Monday 12:00 PM EST is the cutoff.

Everyone gets jealous from time to time, so your sigs have to show some real jealousy in them.

Cupcakes, cause I've always liked the shower scenes - good composition and like the manga take on it. Plus it reminds me of a movie I saw once but can't rmember its name for the life of me .....

I'm actually going to abstain from voting 'cuz I have no clue what Darkseids is even of, and I'm not exactly sure how cupcakes' conveys jealousy. If anything, I'd vote for Cupcakes' current sig instead of the one she submitted.

Same could be said for your sig unless you were aware of the books/story/films/theme and so forth. Except for the green that is .....

I would be surprised if there were people out there who DIDN'T know about The Wizard of Oz in some form or another.

depends, have you seen current educational standards of the youth of today? I'm more likely to be able to find one who thinks getting pregnant at 15 is a good idea than tell me the story of a little girl from Kansas.

See, I didn't read into that far (maybe I need to be familiar with the anime series.) I just see someone murdering somebody in a shower, and the only context I have for jealousy being a motive is the theme of the contest.

Nah, I had confusion with her sig before she won anyway. I think it could've been a better theme to increase participation though. Sort of ultra specific, and as we've noticed with the Tony Danza SOTW, those don't get good turn outs.

It's an emotion, it's like me putting the theme as happiness.
There's so many things people could do for it.

Possibly, but it's a lot easier to use a theme like happiness, sadness, angry, as opposed to jealousy. Jealousy is context specific and a story needs to be told. You can't just use a photo of someone with a jealous face, that doesn't really exist. It'd be like using "Horny" as a theme, it's hard (haha) to convey with a render.
