But that is the point of Contagion. It's supposed to be the anti-disaster movie. No cliched elements, no happy endings, it's supposed to tell the story of how a real epidemic looks. I love that it didn't fall into plot contrivances like the government did it (Outbreak) or scientists fucked up and now it's everywhere (28 Days Later)! The movie felt very organic and very real. It's one of the few movies that juggled different character arcs very effectively, it's worth a watch just to see that. Really, it's just an amazing Steven Soderbergh movie and it's good to see Soderbergh making movies on the same level as, like, Erin Brockovich and Traffic again.

Zombie Flesh Eaters
A nice Italian Zombie movie with blood and guts and a predictable plot.

I second that this film is amazing. Nicholas Winding Refn is one of the new saviors of cinema. He's beginning to very much take the Kubrick throne in my eyes.

A Very Harold and Kumar Christmas In 3D

8/10

This was better than the last two in my own opinion. The jokes were immaturely funny, everything came together greatly, the 3D kind of worked (and they poke a fair share of fun to it) and it has a nice, but very cheesy message.

Also the only spoiler I have is that the way the movie ends off before the credits just made me laugh like crazy.

The Rum Diary

7/10

Ok, the movie feels directionless in the way that you're not clear exactly what Johnny Depp's goal is. You get snippets and small scenes showing what he wants to do and accomplish... but the scenes don't feel important due to their tone and there are many different paths and red herrings that this film takes. By the time the main thread you should have been following is revealed, the movie is over.

The acting is top notch though, there are some legitimately funny scenes that are really memorable.

Second.

I saw The Muppets on Thanksgiving night at like 9:30. It was me and 6 other 30 year olds without a child in sight. Just perfect.

I don't like movies, but The Muppets was just perfect. Hilarious, sweet and very heart warming. If you have any enjoyment towards The Muppets, then you will not be disappointed!

Really loved it. I've had a lot of the songs stuck in my head for days now.

Last night I ended up seeing the movie MONSTER at 6 am haha was pretty good! but the girl was pretty gross and ugly and 90s and fucking scary crazy looking
but her girlfriend was fucking hotttt anytime they made out or any of that I just covered half the tv with my hand and pretended it was me.
it was disturbing durring the hooking scenes what I rememeber most was the "HANDJOB" scene and it gets even more disturbing once she starts killing
a sad movie but good watch for me :) and made me sad that the hot girl got sent away.
10/10

Beauty and the Beast 3D = 10/10

Fuck Yeah, Bitches! 8-)

I saw it at 10:50 on Sunday night, so no kids were there as it was just me and a bunch of couples. But, that is probably my favorite movie of all time and it was just so wonderful to see it on the big screen. I got chills during all of the best parts. The 3D is really well done and it looks just like a storybook with the depths and everything. The animation is touched up and looks just like a beautiful painting.

If you love the movie, see it. If you've never seen it before, see it. If you want to get some brownie points with your lady friend, see it. It is the perfect fairytale Disney movie.

Meant to write this a few weeks ago but I finally saw Tucker and Dale vs Evil

10/10

I don't normally give anything a perfect score, but damn this movie was excellent and it's one more people need to see. It does what the Scary Movie series fails to do: make a funny spoof on the slasher genre, but intelligently.

A Dangerous Method = 8/10

As a fan and a man with a degree in Psychology, I had to see this movie about the relationship between Freud and Yung that builds and then gets destroyed because of a female doctor that comes between them.

As a Psychology fan, I enjoyed the dialogue, seeing those two giants on screen and just the thought provoking ways they each attacked the same problem. However, it is a very difficult movie to watch, it is mostly dialogue and Kiera Knightley can get a little annoying/over the top.

If you enjoy Psychology, then go see this movie. If you enjoy a good discussion and long scenes of just dialogue, then go see this movie. Everybody else, I think they would not enjoy it.
