I was unaware there was an unrated version. Thanks a bunch.

Robocop

You know there's an unrated version of Robocop as well, right? Mucho violence in it. Which is tough to say because the rated version is pretty violent itself.

The Dark Knight - 10/10.

Yeah!!! That must be the one I watched today.

The torrent (I'm not endorsing pirating. I own the VHS version) didn't mention anything about it being unrated though.

I noticed little bits were added to Murphy's death.

Wasn't the whole cyber-terrorism thing did to death already?

I thought it was going to be in the same kick-ass vein as the other DHs. Nope. According to IMDB, the movie was softened from an R rated move to a PG-13 flick. Apparently this was done to have more commercial success and cater to younger viewers.

Btw, seeing Gears of War was kind of cool... yet just another was to steal my 14 year old brothers heart.

Besides the hot Asian chick, Kevin smith (with the star wars-ness) and some of the action scenes, this movie was a total letdown.

I had a wild "WTF? moment" at the ending credits. I thought the bad guy was Casper Van Deen from Starship Troopers, not the Hitman guy. Doh!

Seeing that this is a Die Hard movie. The only explosions that were missed were those of the F-bombs (swearing doesn't make the movie, but in the DH movies its expected).

6/10 bleh...

In the unrated version they say "fuck" many times.

Dark Knight: 9.5/10 <- I need to see it again to form a fuller opinion ... this is definitely not a single viewing movie.
Wanted: 7/10 <- it was good, I didn't expect it to be even remotely close to the comic ... but towards the end a lot of decisions and plot development didn't hold a lot of weight because they seemed rather senseless.

I'm definitly going to go see it a second time, wich makes this the first movie I've done that for. It was just amazing!

Spartacus - 9.5/10 ... awesome film filled with amazing characters and a great story, my only gripe is the length, could've been trimmed down like 40 minutes easily but then I'd be missing out on 40 interesting minutes. Oh well awesome flick regardless.

zombie strippers - 7.5 / 10

wow, what a fucked up movie, jenna jameson as a naked zombie shooting pool balls out of her hoohaa, I am not normaly a fan of talking "smart" zombies, but this movie pulled it off, mainly because its alot like return of the living dead as its very tongue in cheek and not to be taken the least bit seriously, some scenes even border on slapstick, its just meant to be a good funny time.

robert englund was awesome in this movie as the strip club owner, and this movie had lots of great gore scenes - though one thing I did not ( and never do ) like is CGI head shots and they are pretty bad in this movie, on the whole the acting is terible but thats to be expected from a lower budget horror flick, also as the name would sugest this movie is chalk full o nudity, but again thats par for the course in low budget horror ( though I dont really think this was low budget it, its definatly not hollywood blockbuster budget )

one last thought, people dont like romero's movies because they say he is too ham handed with his social comentary, well if romero is ham handed, this movie beats you in the face with a chunk of concrete - the first 10 - 15 minutes of this movie is one big slam on george W bush then the rest of it peppers in anti bush stentiment while also trying to be a bit on the feminist side believe it or not - if your not a fan of social comentary you probaly wont like this movie , me personaly I thought it made for alot of good laughs.

over all this was a pretty mindless fun zombie flick that was quite funny and definatly something a bit diferent from any zombie movie ive seen before.

Step Brothers: 7/10

Im a pretty big fan of Will Ferrell and think that he is a funny and good actor. However this movie wasnt as good as I hoped it would be. Dont get me wrong there is a lot of funny parts in it and if you just want to sit back and have your brain melt with potty humour then this is the movie for you. If you are looking for a good story line and a lot of twists and stuff you didnt see coming then its not the movie for you.

Most of the best parts of the movie you saw in the commercials. The only things they left out was a lot of swearing. Maybe its just me but I was able to tell what was going to happen way in advance for even the small things, and when I can do that it kinda gets annoying.

The ending was lame and I saw it coming from about an hour into the movie. Some of the stuff in the movie makes no sence and cutting it out wouldnt of hurt anything. Like the part (dont worry Im not going to spoil it if youve seen the trailer already) where they get the shit kicked out of them by some school kids. That had nothing to do with anything. There was no point to it whatsoever and was just useless. You saw all the best parts in the trailer for that part and it was funny for 2 sec then after that just like waiting for it to end to move onto something else.

If youre a huge fan of Ferrell then you will like the movie enough to warrant spending the money to see it. If you are not a fan of his or just find him funny then it might be worth a rent. Its a fun movie that has an upbeat story line and would be one of those ones you throw in once a year or something to watch.

Le Dernier Combat - 8/10 ... a really cool post apocalyptic, black and white film done by Luc Besson. Only two words are even spoken in this film but that really helps build the atmosphere of this film. Definitely worth checking out if you can find it.

Mr. Bean's Holiday - 6/10 ... wasn't quite the send off I was hoping for as Mr. Bean doesn't really get to do much of his usual physical comedy but oh well the cinematography is suprisingly beautiful and it's a very easy to watch film. Also the whole "Playback Time" movie is the funniest thing in the whole film.

Yeah, you could tell the added parts because the video was really dirty looking. Also, the first scene with ED-209 is a tad bit more violent.

Lost Boys: The Tribe - 8/10. I was pleasantly surprised. The only reason I watched it was because someone in this thread said they watched it and enjoyed it. I think they also said they went in expecting not to like it but did, which is what happened with me.

It was a pretty good vampire movie. Plot was a little shallow, but it didn't kill it. It's a decent successor. Nothing will top the original, but it gave it a pretty good go. It had a few nods to the original that made me laugh. Feldmen was forcing the voice a tad much, sounded like he was trying to be Christian Bale. But overall, I enjoyed it.

I'll try and do this with as little explanation as possible.

Very, very minimal.

I finally saw the Dark Knight and I rate it 8/10.
It was very good, makes Batman Begins look like poop. But still,
there was a few things I really disliked. And there's no way
Bale's ever going to beat Keaton at looking bad-ass in a batsuit.

Dark Knight - 5/10

The movie was way too long and contained a lot of useless stuff that didnt need to be put in there. You saw a lot of stuff happening before it happened. Joker was a good character, but only during certain parts. The rest of the time I found it kinda annoying. He didnt make too many long speeches and thats a good thing becuase when he did it just sounded crappy to be honest.

Bale did an alright job as Batman, but his voice for Batman was so forced it hurt. Also his persona of Bruce Wayne as a stuck up prick kinda was off of the comics and other Batman media of the past. I didnt like that little twist.

Alfred was good, so was Morgan Freeman as Fox. The Rachel character was pretty lame and didnt like the choice of the actress. Also the guy who plays Dent wasnt that great either. I just couldnt get him into the evil of Two Face like it should be. It was a lame effort to say the least for that character.

I think the movie was way over hyped and did my best to avoid all the other reviews before I saw it. Im glad I did becuase I think that most of the people who saw it are hopped up on the media frenzy that surrounds the movie. It was a good movie, but I wouldnt go and pay to see it again.

Harald & Kumar 2

You know, I absolutley loved the first one, there were alot of hilarious moments, especially when Neil Patrick Harris was trippin on E in the back seat of the car. But ya, everyone was saying part 2 was so funny, yet after watching it, i just felt it was 'ok'...And in no way was it on par with the first...I mean the whole KKK meeting was lame and unfunny, The part where they went to that hics house in the woods and came across their Cyclops son was weak as well....I mean when you look at Kumar for example in the first, he's super lanky and skinny, his head looked big, and he looked like your typical stoner and of course younger...I mean he looked funny and was funnier in it....As for 2, not so much, he was bigger looking, didn't look as goofy and looked older(duh)...yadah yadah, besides minor things like that it had its moments, but it has nothing on movies like Superbad and the 40 Year old Virgin.

7/10

The first > 9/10
