I am having an issue where my PC will not detect my PS3 and my PS3 will not detect my media server.

I have windows 7, my PC is wired to the router while my PS3 is wireless, I have UPnP enabled on my router

I have tried TVersity, and the PS3 Media Server apps on my PC and nothing, I can ping my PS3 no problem but am otherwise unable to get the two to talk to one another.

Please help.

Edit: Windows firewall is disabled and I do not have another firewall installed

Yikes, well I expected a bit more of a response

Turns out it was my Router / Modem supplied by my ISP, it was segregating wireless and wired connections and while they could by pinged they were not viable on the network to one another.

Problem solved.

I wanted to say, that whenever you have connection issues over a network between two devices ... especially when one isn't a computer running Windows ... you should almost always immediately suspect the router.

Sorry I didn't see this earlier ... but I wouldn't have guessed it was segregating the connection types.
