So um, how about that Mario Galaxy 2, fellas? I heard IGN gave it a perfect 10 or so. But forget IGN, what do YOU think?

I'm up to star 50 or so, just starting World 4, I think. I kind of went on a prankster comet binge for a while once they started showing up. I think I've picked up the comet coin every single first time I've run through a level except the flying bird one.

So I finally got around to playing Super Mario Bros Wii for real. If some of ya'll remember, I had a big problem with this game (I thought it was for PUSSIES cause of the gamer assist and it not being a challenge)... well, I was right. I just cleared the third level of the game and I have 25 extra lifes. I just saved a Toad, got three more lifes and opened up a Toad house which I won three more lifes from... Jesus Christ, really?

Man, I thought Mario World was generous with lifes but this is ridiculous. Ok, ok... I know, I'm only three levels in but so far its not doing it for me.

I want a sequel to Sunshine... now that was a fun ass Mario game.

Mario All Stars 25th Anniversary Collection

If your a collector/Hard Core Mario fan, its worth every penny, plus you get a sweet Mario Booklet with cool info in it, and a nice CD with mario beats and sound effects.

If your a casual Mario fan, dont bother. You could just find the CD somewhere online and download, or you probably already have them on your ipod, the booklet isnt even that much, and you could just buy the originals on VC for cheaper (i believe), AND its just a direct port of the SNES version, no changes.

:bubblezzz:

The Paper Mario series is a really cool RPG spin-off for the plumber.

I especially like the villain for the third installment.

Oh, if you like Paper Mario, please please please get Super Mario RPG: Legend of the Seven Stars. You're only 15 right? Go to your Virtual Console right now and buy it. You'll love it, I guarantee.

Speaking of Super Mario RPG, who wouldn't love to see this get a 3D face lift on the 3DS? I would snatch my up a 3DS in a heartbeat if they pulled a Number 1 and made it so.

Will do...I have a lot of VC games to get, and that's one of them.

Ironically this will probably be a concept of what Mario will look like in the Mario game for the Project Cafe.

So... like always... I'm about ten years behind the times, but I'm building my GBA collection because, hey, the carts are cheap right now. I finally got all four Super Mario Advance games and I just have one complaint... THEY NEED TO SHUT UP! Oh my god! The first Super Mario Advance, all your character does is make little grunts, and "whoos", and exclamations of joy the whole game! It never stops. Same goes for Yoshi's Island. And did they really have to cute up Yoshi in that game with all his new sound effects? I guess they were trying to make an aural connection between the characters for the children to identify the characters with their modern adaptations but jeez! I have to play those games with the sound off.

Next, I need to get all the Donkey Kong Countries and then the rest of the NES Classics collection and I have pretty much every GBA game I've always wanted. Maybe the Final Fantasy III port since they did such an awesome job with Link to the Past.

Really enjoying Super Mario 3D Land, although it's an obvious step down from the platforming insanity of the Mario Galaxy games, this 3DS game goes back to Mario's platforming 'roots' in that it definitely feels like a call back to the NES/SNES Mario games and the 3D is a great addition and certainly enhances the experience, some levels specifically playing with the 3D effects to create some really awesome levels that are a blast to play. This is by the 'the' killer app for the 3DS right now

Him not shutting up never bugged me, but then again I've been hearing his voice in my Mario games since I was a kid (note that I'm only 18), so I guess I got used to it after a while.

I recently sat down with a good friend that goes by the name of "Prinny" here and played "Super Mario Bros. 3. Nay we didn't just play for 15 mins and get bored then play something else. we sat down selected two player mode and the fun commenced. We didn't use any whistles just did level after level. Let me tell you this game is quite time consuming, fun, and holds up extremely well. Yeah we battled once or twice but that was it. Its been a long time since we got together and just played some gaymes and this was one where we spent the most time on. the entire game took over 5 hours to complete, including breaks here and there to chill out. :-)

A friend of mine did the exact same thing recently.

We were playing on the Super Mario All Stars Super Nintendo version so that we could save it and come back to it. For us, it took us a couple of months to do because we wouldn't play it as much.

I had already beaten the game, but my friend is not good at platformers. Let's just say he died on the first Goomba in World 1-1. So, at the beginning, I carried him through the game. But, he slowly got his skill back and was inches away from beating Bowser at the end of the game.

But, we did beat it and it was completely fulfilling. Super Mario Brothers 3 is a timeless classic and a fantastic game for everybody. Even 2 giant RPG nerds can play the game and enjoy the hell out of it.
