funnies thing about the Phoenix Wright games. it could take a team of like 5 people to work on a chapter each for at the most a month and have it done since its all just damn text :/
CapCom has been shafting us frequently lately and they have nearly become just a joke to me anymore
How do you know that? And what about the advertising costs, paying proper translators, shipping, packing, ect? You've even ignored the touch screen and mic additions in the games.
The facts are that the game sold rather poorly. I want it bad, but this is one thing I'm not pissed at Capcom over. Now everything else I'm rather pissed over, but this is perfectly understandable business.
for one, they never really advertise those games. secondly almost everything is left untouched from the japanese port aside from the text since that is all that is really different unless they have a small image here or there to edit. The shipping and packaging is never really a concern unless the game sells just that badly and they cant even cover those costs which is very rare unless its E.T.
The mic thing never worked. you could just go AH!!! and it would work. the touch screen would remain virtually untouched as all you do is tap it and its not like they ever change the interface. the most ever changed is the text. This is why atlus digs in to a lot of handhelds anymore especially on the DS. most DS games don't even have Voice overs so all they do is give a little of money for text translation and its an easy cash in. Shipping and Packaging ain't much of anything. and Atlus advertising next to nothing on most of the games they pick up. Ace Attonery series is just one of those. Its easy to port over to another language. Now the Miles Edgeworth game may be one thing but the other sequels? They sold alright for a different genre handheld game. It is just that well these games aren't selling ENOUGH over here for CapCom's tastes.
also i am not really THAT mad about this game. It was just another thing for CapCom to do for me to add on my shit list with them
