I dont think each game has its own friend code, just one friend code for the system and all games use that.... I think.

Yeah, you just have one friend code. If you want to play a friend online in SSF4 then you have to make sure that one of your friends is on, and you both have to go to internet match, friend match. The other player's name should appear.
