Double posting because I'm awesome. All you Canadians on this site need to go to EB games and look for older Collector's Editions because some are on sale for pretty cheap.

Picked up Assassin's Creed CE new for $20 and Oblivion's 5 year anniversary edition for $15 used but it looks as good as new and all the extras and was basically half off. Force Unleashed 2 collector's edtion is $20 new but I need to wait until I get paid tomorrow, Assassin's Creed: Brotherhood's big-ass collector's edtion is $40 but they were sold out. Going to hit up another store tomorrow to see if I can find the Castlevania: Lords of Shadow and Devil May Cry CE for really cheap as I know of one store that has both hidden away but were way overpriced.

Most Black Friday deals in Canada are going on until Friday (gaming deals anyways). Most gaming deals should be back on Boxing Day. I have a bad feeling there aren't going to be many good deals on Boxing Day this year...

Oh you Canucks and your made-up holidays... next you'll be telling me there's a Victoria Day or a National Day of Remembrance and Action on Violence Against Women... what a silly idea.

Yous guys crack me up.

Yenywho, I treated myself to a bit of a splurge, and it's not the kind that required a mopping up with an old t-shirt and weeping reflection afterward. Oh no, I got a bit of a bonus at work so I spent in on silly things at a different video game store from my own. Namely this:

Vic-tor-ia Day? What's that? OH! You mean the May 2-4 long weekend! Ah, the weekend my friends and I go up to my still freezing-ass cottage and drink until we can't feel feelings!

That picture will haunt my dreams for the rest of my days...

So I continued my spree of buying cheaper collectors editions. At EB I got the Castlevania: Lords of Shadow CE for $40. I think I may have overpaid for it a little but it's getting extremely hard to find around here since I missed out when it was on sale for $30 at Future Shop over the summer and I really wanted it... not for full price.

Also got the Force Unleashed II CE for $20 new at HMV. They also have the Halo Reach CE for $30 and I may pick it up on my next pay... if it's still there. If not meh.

I'm on a hunt for the Alan Wake CE for less than $30. I know a bunch of EBs in town have it for $40 but I think that's still too much. I can wait it out for a price drop. Time to amp up my gaming collection!

So, AC:R multiplayer. There seems to be a lot wrong with it. It's so flawed that I sometimes wonder if it's bad by design or if the guy is cheating. Still, sometimes these guys are so obviously cheating that it's not even funny. So, then, when I completely and utterly humiliate em, I :yuush:

For instance. I only get 5 kills a round sometimes. Yet I still manage to come up second. When captain cheating pants has 20 kills and only has double my points. One time I even passed a cheating cunt by a thousand points this way.

Heads up. For some reason Verizon Triple play will give you Halo: Anniversary edition and a year of xbox live.

Small Little Update:

I just completed Tetris and Dr. Mario for the Super Nintendo. I beat the computer on all three difficulties for each game. All my years of playing those games have finally paid off!

EB here in Canada's having daily deals so I've picked up a few:

Sly Cooper Collection for $10 which is awesome and Xmen: Destiny for $20. I know I know, Xmen's suppose to be garbage but I wanted to give it a try. People said the same thing about Alpha Protocol and I think it's not nearly as bad as people think. And if Xmen sucks meh, it'll be trade fodder for Boxing Week trade ins so I can pick up Max Payne 3 for cheap.

It's probably worth 20 bucks IMHO. It's definitely fun for a beat 'em up type half-assed X-Men Legends type of thing, don't get me wrong.

That's my thought. Going to play through it as soon as I reach level 80 in MW3 and beat Battlefield 3's single player... so probably next week lol.

Also, Canadians on this site, more good deals coming from EB in the coming days/weeks:

Today's EB deal of the day is Homefront for $10. Good time to pick that game up if you've been meaning to try it. Tomorrow is Driver: San Fransisco my guess is for $20. More daily deals coming, but they all look meh like Other M for $10.

Weekly deals going on too. Dec. 9-11 Assassin's Creed: Revelations will be $40 (I will be picking it up, especially because the EB by my work still has the Signature edition)

Dec 11-16 WWE12 is $40 and Dec. 11-17 Goldeneye: Reloaded is $40. Not bad deals, especially for EB.

I'm picking up Assassin's Creed for sure as that's the price I was expecting for Boxing Day and I want to get Goldeneye but my car died on me again this week... so I should probably save some cash just in case it costs me an arm and a leg to repair.

I was looking for a gift for one of my friends and Red Dead Redemption so happened to be $25 used in excellent condition. I was afraid that he would not like it, so I bought it and tried it out to see if it would match his tastes. It certainly matched mine because it's the western game that I always dreamed of playing. The action was a ton of fun and the atmosphere and music is awesome. Sometimes, I would just ride on my horse through the wilderness to hunt down outlaws and animals for the heck of it. And I really enjoyed the story so far and think the main character is really likable. The reason I didn't bother with it is because from the looks of it, a lot of Rockstar games were always really blunt about the sexual content, which would make me shy away from them. This one doesn't feel that way (or I may have not gotten anywhere yet). Still, amazing game. Just sucks that I didn't buy it for myself.

Speaking of deals, Amazon has lightning deals on videogames all throughout the holidays. I managed to pick up Rage for another one of my friends for only $25. So glad that my Christmas shopping is over. :-D Though it does suck my wallet dry....

RDR was incredible. Can't believe it's been a year and a half since I completed it... man. I still plan on plowing through it a second time being more of an outlaw. I pretty much played it as a nice ombré the first go around. Time to be a dick!

Got Assassin's Creed: Revolations. Going to plow through it over the Xmas break. Got to beat Battlefield 3 and Xmen Destiny first... that shouldn't take me too long from what I've heard.
