Skyrim looks incredible, but I'm getting a little tired of hearing about it everywhere. Just goes to show how many people are drawn to it and well, it must be goof right, it's a fucking Elder Scrolls game!

Nevertheless, I can't wait for all the Skyrim posts on Reddit to slow down.

You mean a series that has been vastly popular since Morrowind is vastly popular at the moment?

This game has same sex marriage.

*is tempted to make a martial artist female and have her marry a blond female with pigtails with a green liatard once I get my game*

I'm not sure where all the followers are currently located. That mega bitch from Whiterun pisses me off when I have her hold stuff for me.

I think that Skyrim is one of the most overrated games of all time. But, it's also a good game, I'll give it that.

Though the vids, comics and whatnot coming from it are fucking hilarious/creepy as fuck.

Overrated like Modern Warfare 3, Battlefield 3, Saints Row 3, Skyward Sword and Uncharted 3 have all been? This season of games has been ridiculous with so many marque releases and the hype surrounding all of them has meant some have been disappointing while others have been outstanding. For me Skyward Sword whilst incredible in its own right has been a let down, as has Saints Row 3 compared to the far better SR2, and the only games for me that haven't underwhelmed me due to there hype have been Arkham City and Skyrim. Undoubtedly there's differing opinions on all these games, for example I don't rate Skyward Sword above OoT, MM or TP for that matter, for me Wind Waker is the best IMO but doesn't change that all these games released in this latter half of the year have been fantastic, and I strongly recommend if you haven't picked up Skyrim that you do, for its probably one of a few of these open-ended RPG's that truly can appeal to new audiences that haven't been exposed to them through Morrowind or Dragon Age.

Also, this.

I've a question about armor in this game. I've primarily went the path of magic on my character and while I'm great at killing bitches my armor rating is shit! Any other mages out there that can offer help on armor to look for? I'm still stuck on the Mage robes of destruction and could certainly use an upgrade.

As a mage you should be doing a lot of enchanting, that way you can disenchant your robs of destruction and add their abilities to light and heavy armor :D

I picked it up for a couple of days via Redbox, and maybe it's just me or whatever, but it began freezing every time I would attempt to load a saved game. I researched it and found that this is apparently an issue with the Xbox 360 version of the game. I'm not sure if it had been patched because most of the stuff I read was posted two weeks ago. Either way, I thought it was brilliant...until I couldn't load any saved games.

The game has frozen on me, about the same amount as Fallout 3 did.

The game hasn't been freezing on me too much, but it has happened a few times.

However I have been having a very weird glitch where a dragon named Vujltnook (not sure if that's spelled right) keeps randomly spawning dead whenever I fast travel inside of Whiterun or outside of Whiterun, but near it. And then the other day a dead horse spawned with me when I loaded my game, and I know there was no horse there before.

I also had a problem the other night with a dragon. He flew backwards briefly...then went high into the air...stayed in one place and looked like he was having convulsions. The frame rate severely dropped when that happened too...like around 10 fps.

I ground and ground and ground and at this point, I'm doing 160% Two Handed Weapon Damage and cast Destruction spells ENTIRELY for free. All of them. The magic bar never even comes up.

Here is how you do this.

Spoiler
1. Don't pick a side.
2. Find a few Stormcloak camps and know where the blacksmiths live.
3. Get access to the enchanting table in the Arch Mage suite (preferably by completing the Mage Guild quests, as it's a cheaper faster way to have yourself a storage box).
4. Buy as many iron ingots, leather strips, iron ore and leather as possible. You can use a Tanning rack to make Leather into leather strips and the Whiterun Smithery has a forge to turn ore into ingot.
5. CRAFT IRON DAGGERS LIKE A FOOL.
6. Disenchant everything you can.
7. Enchant all your iron daggers with Damage Stamina/Absorb Health/Banish (eventually - it has the highest value).
8. Sell daggers and buy materials from the blacksmiths and repeat steps 4-7. If you do a run of five-six places at a time, they will sequentially refresh.
9. Rinse and repeat ad infinitum.
10. When your Smithing and Enchanting are done, they aren't. Did you find those Enchanter's Philter's or Blacksmith Elixirs yet? They bump your stats up even higher. And they stack with Smithing enchantments.
11. Use said Blacksmith Elixir, make your spanking new Dragon Armor FLAWLESS Flawless, and your nasty weapon much the same.
12. Double-Enchant everything, preferably after taking some of those Enchanting Philters.
13. Slowly raise your Alchemy so you can make even better potions and really crank out some fantastic shit. :psycho:

I've heard talk of the Companion's forge really kicking arse, but I've not authenticated that yet.

Deeply enjoying this game as well. The improvements from Oblivion to this are too numerous to mention, but thank heavens the combat is more engaging.

I think the Companions workplace can make your armor Superior and your weapons too.
