Meh, I felt the compensation was a little thin for the PS3, I can't speak on the PSP. I think they should have given us better titles to choose from because a). the two big titles on the list are Greatest Hits titles already, meaning a lot of people already own them and b). the rest are mediocre at best. Also, what is Plus? It's just a discount card in my eyes.

That said, I'm getting inFAMOUS and Dead Nation

I love how people act like anything less than Skyrim, Mass Effect, and all 3 Assasin's Creed titles for free is a slap in the face. LBP and InFamous are great. I probally wouldn't pick up Wipeout or Dead Nation on my own, but if they are free why not?

4 free games, free PS+ (which includes even more free games), and free movies seems more than generous

Well, I was hoping for something like Ratchet and Clank or maybe a pick of PS1 games instead or even just a voucher for so and so amount of points. Infamous is definitely the winner here but all the rest of the games (especially LBP) are just meh to me. The reason is, if I really wanted these games I would have bought them already. That's just me though, I'm sure this will be a godsend to some who really can't afford new games all the time.

Also, I thought Wipeout HD was free with Plus anyway, right? And do the Plus games disappear after the trial is up?

I guess I'm happy but in all honesty, I just want the store back up already so I can redeem these L.A. Noire codes and download some games I bought but didn't install. I really don't care about the free stuff I'm barely going to use.

Well there are people, like my brother for example, who already owned all the free game choices they are offering. So they kind of feel like they are getting nothing out of this.

I've heard people say things like, Oh they should have given $60 vouchers ... but the thing is ... are you insane? That would destroy PlayStation. There's 70 million subscribers to PSN ... $60 each is like $4.2 Billion. These titles they published, so they can write it off, if were blind money they'd have to actually pay it out ... and it's too large. This way they're "losing" only in potential lost sales, not in actual capital (which would be a death sentence) They probably have a cap somewhere around the $500 Million mark.

I'm sorry, but complaining for more is just not feasible, regardless if you like what Sony is offering or not. And the titles being offered are significantly better than what Microsoft offered when Live was taken down from attacks for 2 weeks.

I agree (even though I was the first to complain) but I would like to point out that PSN points aren't actual money. Its like Disney Dollars.

Ah, but you forget ... Sony doesn't have rights to everything on PSN. They have licensing fees, but if they didn't publish the title themselves, they'd have to pay the publisher for every copy downloaded. So it is not fake money.

They are, after-all, doing this without the developer's permission and they're just paying the developer cost of each title (which is less than half of paying a developer and a publisher)

Racket and Clank is being offered by only for Europe for some reason. PS+ usually does include some PS1 titles so you might luck out with something good there.

The only way to take real advantage over the free PS+ is to utilize the discounted price in various games. Because you'll own those forever.

Not nearly as much as I would have guessed.

For some perspective ... it's about $30 million less than Sony spent on Spider-Man 2.
