Nicknames: None

Online Aliases: Ehsan (I’m so creative)

Age: 17, 18 in a few months

Gender: Male

Location: New Mexico

Occupation: None yet

Area of Expertise: I dunno

Hobbies: I was into sports for years. I also like doing a ton of outdoor stuff, like hiking and camping. Oh, and film and music. I got into film last year through my library, and I always enjoy watching a good movie every once in a while when I have time.

Favorite Quote: “An eye for an eye will only make he world blind”, Ghandi

Favorite Food: I guess I’ll go with rice.

Favorite kind of music: I got into rock and (music in general) a few years ago when I got Appetite for Destruction, Van Halen, and Led Zeppelin. That eventually made me get into other bands like The Rolling Stones and Aerosmith. Eventually I got into classical music, with stuff by Mozart, Beethoven, Vivaldi, and many others.

Favorite Book: The Divine Comedy and To Kill a Mockingbird are tied. But other authors I liked were stuff by TS Eliot, John Steinbeck (through memory. It’s been years since I read something by him), Shakespeare, and a few others I can’t remember.

Favorite Movie: A ton of films, but here are a few: The Passion of Joan of Arc, The Seventh Seal, Wild Strawberries, There Will Be Blood, Seven Samurai, Yojimbo, Sanjuro, The General, Citizen Kane, The Dollars Trilogy, The 400 Blows, 2001: A Space Odyssey, Dr. Strangelove, Lawrence of Arabia, Rocky, any Pixar film, The Gold Rush, Modern Times, Psycho, Strangers on a Train, Raiders of the Lost Arc, Star Wars, The Godfather Part II, and Schindler's List. Also, anything that has to do with Charlie Chaplin, Akira Kurosawa, Stanley Kubrick, Ingmar Bergman, Alfred Hitchcock, and plenty more.

Favorite Game(s): That’s another hard one (trying to keep it short (sort of)). I love a mix of old and new, spanning from a lot of genres. My favorite games are The Legend of Zelda series, MvC series, Resident Evil series, Ninja Gaiden (NES), Castlevania: Rondo of Blood, Super Castlevania IV, anything N64 Rare related, Rock Band 2, Beatles, Okami, Prince of Persia: The Sands of Time, DDR Max 2: 8th Mix, Super Metroid, The House of the Dead series, Punch-Out!! (NES), Mega Man 2, the Mario Series, Sam and Max, Metal Slug series, Soul Calibur II, Tetris, actually, anything Valve related on the PC, Street Fighter II, III: Third Strike, Alpha 1-3, IV, Galaga, inFAMOUS, Spider-Man (N64), Spider-Man 2 (GC), Ultimate Spider-Man, Sonic the Hedgehog 2, Viewtiful Joe series (we need a Viewtiful Joe 3), Contra, and Scott Pilgrim vs. The World.

Favorite Website: Not sure. I guess I’ll go with ScrewAttack.

Most frightened of: Cockroaches. I swear I am terrified of those things. When I was a kid, I’ve had horrific experiences with those things. The first one was when I was 6, I was sitting in the playground, building stuff with the sand, when a hole in the ground bursted with roaches. I was terribly horrified. Then a few years later I was sitting in a chair and a cockroach ran up the chair right next to me, horrifying me again. Then again, I was walking on the sidewalk in Iran, when a gian crowd of them scurried at where I was walking. With no other way to go (next to me was traffic, I was forced to walk through them. I literally cannot look at those things without being horrified.

Most Embarrassing Moment: I can’t think of one that really embarrassed me, but a recent one was when I tripped in Church and was reaching to grab my friend as I was falling, but he moved forward and had me landing on my face. It was more painful than embarrassing.

Happiest Moment: I dunno

A Vivid Childhood Memory: My birthday when I was 4. I remember getting this awesome bike and wearing a gray suit with a tie. And I remember there being cake.

Your "good deed" of the century: Nothing, haha.

Guilty Pleasure(s): I don't really have any. Maybe gardening, but that’s nothing that I find a guilty pleasure.

If you had 1 wish, what would it be and why?: Unlimited wishes for my own selfish desires. That would be awesome. Then it would follow with some wishes like ending world hunger. And once those issues were done, I would wish for something stupid like having Spider-Man’s powers.

When refilling your toilet paper, do you prefer it over or under?: I don’t know. I think over, but I don’t put thought into changing toilet paper.

Would be voted "Most Likely to...": Not Do Anything Remarkable

What color are most of your socks?: Going to a Catholic School, I’m not permitted to wear anything other than white, but I prefer black. Those just look way cooler.

What would be the title of a tell-all book about you?: Something generic, like “My Life”

What do you spend too much time doing?:
Studying. Although I end up doing fine in tests, homework, whatever, I usually am nervous about how I’ll do, which ends with me stressing over things that don’t need to be stressed over.

Most treasured possession:
A cross that my math teacher gave me. She was a really important figure in my life, so I treasure it quite a bit. I have it hung on my room, with other various items.

What's always on your grocery list?:
Air freshener. It seems I always run out of that stuff for some reason.

The thing you like best about yourself:
Despite the difficulty of the task, I try my hardest to accomplish it

The thing you like least about yourself:
Sometimes I don’t find any confidence in myself when I’m doing a task. And my stressing. Definitely my stressing.

What should never be discussed in polite company (if anything)?: Your drug hallucinations. Those discussions aren’t exactly something a person might want to hear. Not that I’m on drugs. Unless you’re on drugs, then I take every kind of drug (lolScottPilgrimreference)

Favorite hero: Spider-Man (duh). I don’t know why I liked Spider-Man. Ever since I was a kid, I always found something in him that made me like him so much. And I loved the villains that surrounded him, with some of my favorites being Kraven, Venom, Doctor Octopud, and many more. Until Quesada came and murdered my childhood, I followed the story quite closely.

Favorite villain: Magneto. He’s just a great villain with a great backstory. His presence is terrifying among many heroes, but his original story and previous life is tragic and sympathetic, making him a very 3 dimensional personality, with his intentions being good at times, shrouded in his disgust and overall hate.

Favorite forum thread at Thegameheroes.com, this very moment: Uhhhh. I don’t know

If you were to have a plate in your head, which metal would you choose and why?: Titanium. For no reason whatsoever

Cake or pie?: Pie. Pie is amazing.

What was your first console?: My cousin’s Famicom. I remember playing games like Mighty Final Fight, TMNT Tournament Fighters, Super Mario Bros, TMNT, Super C, and a ton others. But my cousin was a jerk and never let me choose Shredder in TMNT and always died on purpose to steal my lives in Super C. (D)

Your first game for that first console?: Super Mario Bros, Mighty Final Fight, or TMNT: Tournmanent Fighters (can’t remember)

Nerdiest moment: Arguing how the X-Men could easily overcome any of the Star Wars characters for a few hours. I totally won that discussion.

If you were a superhero/villain, which member of the forum would you choose to be your sidekick/henchman, or vise versa?: Probably Tren. He could be my furry sidekick, as we stop evil. Or maybe Debaser. I heard he likes to punch dolphins, so that may come in handy.

If you were playing a tabletop RPG, who would you pick to be your DM?: I dunno. I don’t play tabletop RPGs.

If you were one of Dr. Wily's Master Robots, which one would you be and why?:
Fire Man from Mega Man 1, because he can use fire and it would satisfy the inner pyro in me. Metal Man is cool too. His weapon was super useful.

Any final thoughts before this wraps up?: Nothing really.

MOAR FAVORITES

Favorite booze: Don’t drink

Favorite console: Super Nintendo. Ever since I first played the SNES Virtual Console, I fell in love with so many classics, like Super Metroid, Street Fighter II, Super Mario World, Super Punch-Out!! (doesn’t get enough love), Super Mario RPG, and plenty of others.

Favorite comic: The Amazing Spider-Man (duh). *see favorite hero on why*

Favorite anime: dunno. I watched only 3, being Cowboy Bebop, Black Lagoon, and Hokuto no Ken.

Favorite manga: Only read like 1

Favorite character: (assuming from film, books, games, etc) The nameless samurai from Yojimbo. I always loved his character and cold nature, which made him the perfect character in the film. Others I would put are Death from The Seventh Seal,

Favorite dance: dunno

Favorite forum: DebasedToThis

Favorite member: Too many

Favorite song: Too many

Favorite band: Another giant list: I The Beatles, Led Zeppelin, Bob Dylan, Metallica, The Jimi Hendrix Experience, Guns N' Roses, Pearl Jam, Aerosmith, Van Halen, AC/DC, Pink Floyd, The Police, Green Day, Michael Jackson, The Who, Queen, Mozart, Beethoven.

Favorite podcast: SideScrollers. I like the new ones, but the 2008 ones with Jose and Ben were the best, followed by the ones where Corey and Destin were still on. We need more intern SideScrollers.

Favorite salutation: Hi

Favorite rank: Phil’s Wesker rank. I like Resident Evil. I also like Wesker. I also like Tyrant.

Favorite skank: what?

Favorite bank: Well’s Fargo

Favorite tank: I’m not too well versed in my tanks, so I’ll google and choose the first one I see. Tiger II

Favorite wank: Same answer as three questions ago.

Favorite yank: The American one

Favorite Hank: I dunno

Any last words to wrap up this abomination of a member spotlight?: Nope.

Because you never asked. Sometime last year, I just started using the film section of the library a lot and saw that films under the Criterion label were awesome.

Koari wrote:

The more, the better.

Also, derp, didn't finish my favorite characters list. I meant to add in some people like The Man with No Name. But I can go on all day about film characters I love. From gaming, it's usually the stereotypical hero figure that I like. Characters like Link and Ryu. Listing them off pre RE 5 Jill Valentine (predictable), Samus, Link, The Prince (Sands of Time), Ryu, Luigi, Sonic, Sam and Max, and Ryu Hayabusa (NES). And for book, I have to go with Atticus Finch. There was just something I loved in his character in the book, and was a well constructed pillar of knowledge and wisdom. He's probably one of my favorite characters in any form of media.

If you were to create your own game, what would it be?

How exactly does the X-Men beat any Star Wars character? I'd like to know. :3

Have you ever read the first six volumes of the Runaways?

If not, do you plan to (and you better say yes)?

I concur that you should read Runaways. There is also a lot of other shit you should read. That being said, you should also just bite the bullet and just jump onboard with Spider-Man. Read OMIT if you want, or start with Big Time. This shit is awesome, and despite longtime fans being butt hurt about the whole dumb Mary Jane thing it really opened up multiple avenues for exciting new stories to be told. I read a lot of the pre-OMD Spider-Man stuff, mostly in the 500-550 range or whatever... and yeah, it wasn't anything terribly special, with a few exceptions here and there.

Also, those were amazing Cockroach stories. Have you seen the X-Files episode about the roaches? It's somewhere early in Season 2... you'd fucking shit a brick. I never had an issue with them either until they recently infested our Kitchen in our new apartment. Made my life a living hell.

10-15 minutes. Favorite books, film, and games were copy/pasted from my ScrewAttack profile. Plus I type pretty fast.

For the first one, I want a game based on the nameless samurai from Yokimbo. That would be awesome. That would be amazing.

I was in middle school when that happened, but from what I remembered, I said Magneto could easily overtake any of them (I was speaking of any X-Men character). Plus, the X-Men don't suffer from horrible movie prequ- oh wait.... :shy:

No and yes. I've been out of the comic book loop for a while, so I'm going to try to catch up on some other series, but it is on my To Read list.

I want to jump back in with Spider-Man, I just need a good starting point. I'm thinking of going ahead with Big Time.

And no, I haven't seen that episode. I have a hard enough time dealing with them in real life.

The typical answer would be zombies, but I don't want to become rotting flesh. If I were to die a horrible death, it would be with something awesome and cute. Like kittens.

A lot of my favorite games have worlds that would be horrible to live in, like the entire population being in a near death state or some overlord ruling the world. I guess I would go with 3 choices. Street Fighter because powerful beings like Akuma seem to have no impact on how the world is and Shadaloo is pretty much gone. Plus I want to be able to shoot bursts of energy from my hands. Next would be the Need for Speed world, because no matter how many times you crash your cars and drive like a maniac, there seems to be no impact on your health, so that would be useful. Finally I would go with Viewtiful Joe, because living in my favorite films with the ability to make time speed up or slow down and having other powers is just amazing.

Uhh... i don't know. I guess keeping a 4.0 in High School (so far).

I really hope to go to Mecca at least once. I always wanted to go there.
