Making a thread to warn people about fucked up shit that ruins a series. Obviously, spoilers etc. Still, I'm going to put the spoilers in a spoiler tag:

Usagi Drop: A series about a 30 year old man who adopts his grandfather's 5 year old lovechild. Starts out a sweet tale about a man learning to raise a daughter on his own. Then there's a timeskip to the girl as a teenager that is filled with some high school antics, there's another timeskip to adulthood, and the series just ended.

DROP IT! Why?
Spoiler
The girl and the man get married in the end...... ....... ...... ......... ... ... ... --- ... ... --- ... ew.

Yes yes, enough silliness.

Go on, use the thread to warn people of other good titles that go to crap.

I would make a joke about dropping the title for Bleach, but I won't.

Can this topic also work for video games, cartoons, comics, etc?

Assume people won't be positing positive stuff in here, so it's in negativity zone now. Feel free to use this to warn people about anything simply do the following...

<TITLE>
<WHEN TO DROP IT OR TO JUST AVOID IT>
<SPOILER TAG DETAILING WHY YOU SHOULD DROP IT THEN>

The reason I add that second part is because sometimes shit is awesome until a certain point or issue and then it jumps the shark.

Okay, got it. Thanks!

Okay so for me:

The Office: To quote Wikipedia "It depicts the everyday lives of office employees in the Scranton, Pennsylvania, branch of the fictional Dunder Mifflin Paper Company. To simulate the look of an actual documentary, it is filmed in a single-camera setup, without a studio audience or a laugh track."

When to drop it: At the end of Season 4

Why?
Spoiler
Well, after that, it focuses on the relationships than the characters. Even then when the show focuses back on the characters, they become almost the opposite of what they used to be. Michael becomes insanely stupid and immature, Dwight becomes less geeky and more Amish, Jim acts like a smartass (I mean, worse than he already was), and they jump the shark after Jim and Pam get married and have a kid. I checked out of that show as soon as Season 5 was half-way through.

The Office did stray away for a while, but the last season felt like it really got closer to the point of what the show was at the start...I'd say give it a shot, at least to see Michael go. Even Will Ferrell couldn't ruin it for me and he ruins EVERYTHING.

there's a button above the window you type in called 'Spoiler.' hit that and then type what you want spoiler tagged in between the tags

Well actually, I did see Goodbye Michael and the episode after that, but even then I still don't think the show was good like it was. I just can't get into it because it just seems way more wacky than it was. I admit, it's really hard for me to get into a show that goes on for a long time. The Office just lost its pizazz to me. Maybe in the new season they'll fix it up and try not to focus on individual characters, but the office overall.

Spoiler
On a side note, I don't think Will Farrel is even funny. It's my opinion though, but he just doing the same schtick and it seems old. Maybe I'm just getting old.

That's not an opinion, it's a FACT. He's just awful.

Awesome. Something we agree on! But yeah, I'll still watch the Office. Gotta see how it ends and then I'll give a verdict.

Now Parks & Recreation? Don't get me started.

Parks & Recreation is 1000 times better than The Office. Anywho, this isn't so much for debating about whether a series is good or not, but when the best time to "get while the getting is good" is for these series.
