I feel as if we are almost at a stand still for a lot of mediums, or maybe I am just not looking in the right place. For music, movies, and video games, more and more we are trying to deliver something retro for the sake of nostalgia. Also, a lot of remakes are happening. In the case of video games...

when we get a bad game, WE DEALT WITH IT. Once upon a time, if you got a bad game, it just meant you weren't any good at it. So you would play it over and over until you saw something you haven't seen before. Ehhhhh... I think that's nostalgia talking.. Although you were most likely making a point ...

Instant gratification will keep the gaming industry alive. That's what consumers want - no...expect - and that is what every industry is tripping over themselves to provide. And the market eats it up. The thing about instant gratification, as it applies to both the services/products a company sells ...

First thought: Nametags ripoff

Second thought: Better give it the benefit of a doubt. I could be missing something.

Conclusion: Nametags ripoff

Also finished the first Shadowrun book, Never Deal With a Dragon. I wanted to read Shadowrun for a long time, I really enjoy the world and mythology of it. But...damn...this book SUCKED. I'm not sure what the author was thinking but there was no coherent idea from one chapter to the next and by the...

Game of Thrones for the second time. I don't typically read books more than once since they take so much time, but now that I am familiar with the story and characters, the books are all the more richer. Not sure if I'll continue through the whole series again. We'll just have to see.

Oddworld: Abe's Oddysee I doubt this game would top the list for many people....hell, even most people who like the game would not put it in their top 5 or 10. Abe's Oddysee has always been up there for me, but over the last few years it has shot up to the top spot. I am absolutely thrilled they are...

True. Everyone wants to cash in on Minecraft's success. Tacking on an RTS aspect to this game is actually appealing to me, though. It's like a combination of Minecraft and Black & White. Speaking of clones, another game I've been following for quite a while is War for the Overworld, a remake of ...

I think eventually everyone just hits a point where real life takes the front seat, just like with the guys and their site and podcast, the same can be true of being a fan. That's definitely true. TGH always had a pretty high average age for community members. Hell, how many of us have gotten marri...

Congrats to all and thanks for giving me such a fun place to hang out. Also, thanks for the insane amount of work and time you guys put into the site. Without the site, you're not going to know what to do with all the free time! Lastly, happy blitzing, Namanakadashi! I wish all of you well.
