Was it at the mall? No, it's a separate store. I'm guessing that the water fountain came from a previous business that existed there. But I find that extremely funny that the people at Gamestop knew it would cost money to remove that. So instead they pretty much kept the water fountain there. I gue...

Square-Enix is definitely not new when it comes naming their characters. For example Cloud. For a long time though I thought Squall was the worst name. Every time I thought of that name, I keep thinking of it as a word for "the act of a bird crawling in a dead like manner". I don't why I t...

Camera Man Joe, If you thought "Doubt" was the worst movie you've seen in a long time, please just please sit through "Gods and Generals". Trust me, I can sit through "Doubt" any day, as long as I don't have to sit through "Gods and Generals". |

Interesting Topic about audio. I read a book awhile back about game audio development. Even though most people don't see the difference, its pretty interesting about how different all three of the consoles are when it comes to audio. The Wii doesn't improve at anything for audio compared to the Game...

You know whats the sad part?
They probably did the production in a day. They had to make sure they got the photos developed before CVS closed. |

I hear rumors come and go about the possibilities that Playstation 3 might have the Netflix streaming service. I heard recently on IGN that Sony will have a Netflix streaming service straight from one of their HDTV's. However, I don't think Netflix is part of the Playstation 3 agenda. For the most p...

My laptop came with Vista preinstalled and it works beautifully. I've heard that when it's loaded onto a PC to begin with, it's fine. It's when you go from XP to Vista that there are... issues. I didn't think I'd like Vista but I must say I'm a little surprised. Exactly, I was beginning to think of...

Here's the story: I'm a sound design student who has a Dell XPS 710 with a Microsoft XP Media Center Edition OS. Even for a two year old computer, it's pretty powerful and very functional. Late last year, my classes have been becoming harder, I felt it would be more efficient if I had the similar au...

I don't know if this helps you or not but for people who have that feature (Ctrl + F11), it'll only work with the OS that came with it. Let's say that If you upgrade from XP to Vista, you WILL lose that feature. I found that out the hard way.

Read this article: http://www.gamesindustry.biz/articles/going-live_2 He pretty much sums up about how this might be a poor business model. In order to play online streaming with something like Crysis (not just that but to provide highly detailed graphics to tens of thousands of users simultaneously...

I think this was probably one of their better solutions to the problem. Originally I thought an N64 or Wiiware game would run pretty slow on an SD card alone. Having it transfer that space onto the Wii hard drive makes can make that possible. I know some people may not like it since it takes 5-10 se...

To the Captain, Those were some really interesting rumors with the guy from EGM, especially where he mentioned that used games were killing the game market. The other day I bought Mass Effect for $14.95 from Gamestop. And I have to say.... I feel bad that I did because it's a really good game. It do...

I have to say though: Magazines and newspapers do currently have one clear advantage over internet. And thats bathroom reading. Kinda awkward to say, but its the truth. |

artsy or not, that XMB is very convenient. Even though the new Xbox experience is newer and looks more graphically impressive, I don't think it matches the convenience that the XMB has.

I think that pointless, in like 15 years (once internet becomes much quicker), theres no need for a physical format because movies would probably just be downloaded digitally. I really believe that Blu-ray is the last physical format for movies, and it should be. And sure the article says this can b...

Personally I don't think controllers "revolutionizes video games", we like to think that though, but really it just brings alot more variety. I'm really shocked that a few genres haven't been seen on the wii yet like RTS. however this cycle has been around. for instance when the ds launche...
